BTW, PM sent and the "Mother" has left the port!
I think they tygon should turn that okay.

Sweet about the 'Mother'! I'm excited to be getting it but bummed I won't be able to play with it for 4 weeks

Re the loop; my first thought was "turn the res upside down" (okay, that should give you some insight as to why I'm always excited when I get something to actually work).

If you're talking about the going from the CPU block to the bottom GPU block, then I don't see how you do it without some 45s or dual45s (for that semi-90 degree bend flexibility).

Can you exit the CPU, route the tubing to the top GPU inlet, come out the bottom GPU, into the res? This would make a pretty good flow, if you swap the SLI connector plug to the other side. Might still require a 45 from the CPU.

I don't think there would be an issue with flow traveling down the GPUs instead of up ... not like gravity is going to rush all the water out of the top (but then, I'm no physicist). My inclination would be to push the water flow up the GPUs, but I'm not sure it will make much difference to temps.

If any of this makes sense to you, you haven't had enough scotch
    Thank you Shazza.
I may be able to exit the CPU to the top GPU, but I am unsure how severe the tubing bend will be. I will have to play with it a bit and find out.
I have the 45's required but I was trying not to use them. It would be easier to exit the CPU and flow the water up the GPU's.

I will check it out today and see just how tight of a bend I can make.

I thinks it is going to work. The bend is less than I thought it would be but I am not sure if I like the blue after all.

The tubing run to the Res is temporary. The other ones will probably stay as they are, besides this tubing is next to impossible to remove.

    it looks really nice!

if you don;t like the blue anymore...you could always cover it up & sleeve the tubes - & you know the m|m psychopack sleeving looks "oh so" pretty

Thank you. I discussed sleeving the tubing with Charles a while back and after what he told me...no way.

I will, I screwed up when I mounted it. I am not used to inverted setup so I wasn't paying attention when I mounted it the first time!

BA, if you are out there...LMK what you think! After all you and Charles are responsible for my madness!

I;ve been a silent observer for 8 pages...excellent build you've got going here seeker!

Just a thought on the tubing from the top GPU to the res...

If you could get a hold of another EK res bottom and use it for the top, your tube run could go horizontal back to the res. This would also allow for a fitting to be attached to the other perpendicular port and be used as a fill...or the one on the top (usually bottom) of the cap (or is it still called a base). That make sense?

Damn Skinnee, that is an outstanding idea! It means I will have to buy another Res but it fits in well with the Madness theme! Thanks for the kudos and keep the ideas coming, I need all the help I can get!

Maybe I'm not as blonde as I thought when I said turn the res upside down Although, I have to admit I never would have thought of putting another res bottom up there. Good idea skinnee.

I second, third or fourth the idea to use an Ek Res bottom as a top.

J.almonte really pulled it off well in his build, it looks really clean. The D-plug between the video cards looks great too, I just hope it doesn't leak.

The blue looks pretty good but I think if you used clear tubing with blue fluid it would look better. With using clear tubing the barbs would be visible through the tubing and be a bit more pronounced. The blue isn't opaque enough to stop a little bleed through of the coloring of the barbs. Blue tubing is hard to pull off, most of the time it just doesn't quite look right.

Making SLI look good with an inverted atx case is a bit more tricky too. It's hard to find a lot of good options for the return. If you do a 45 off the gpu to the top of the reservoir I think that would look pretty nice. It would still maintain a slight bend which I think would look good.

I also turned my cpu block 90 degrees from where you have now because I liked the way it looked, and it made my tube routing easier. From what I've seen so far is that these i7's don't care about every last degree. As long as you're able to remove the heat and keep it reasonable it'll run quite well.

The acrylic tops for the gpu's also give a bit more character to the build too. They reflect and bend light and kind of make your case look a bit more interesting. The delrin tops are nice and sturdy, but they don't do a lot aesthetically for me.

That's my 2 cents for the night, take it for what it's worth. I'm really enjoying this thread though, lots of entertainment and enthusiasm from fellow addicts. Keep up the good work Rocky.

Shazza, You were spot on and I failed to give you credit, my mistake. The blue looks better and better to me. Thanks.

BA, Thanks for chiming in! Your input is highly valued especially since I basically copied everything you did. JA's rig is outstanding and the second Res bottom cures most of my woes. Many thanks JA!
The BP plug shouldn't leak, it has two O-rings to enable a little wiggle room between the VC's. It is (hopefully) one of the best engineered pieces I have ever held in my hands.
I am desperately trying to find at least one acrylic top for the top VC card.
I did try a BP 45 from the VC but I didn't like the look. The blue tubing is growing on me, but to your point, clear tubing would look much better. Especially when you take into account the real silver fittings.
Unfortunately, as you know first hand, removing the tubing will require cutting. Once you get it on, it is not coming off. Enough rambling for the evening.....back to the scotch! I hope John isn't watching.

I don't think I deserve any credit. Just proof that my first thought was "hmmm, how do you make it look good?" But no clue on how to actually do it.

You know us girls, we can't visualize spatial objects very well (not to mention some of us are mechanically challenged).

Anyhoo ... I think it's looking very good. Dealing with the inverted setup is a challenge. And, here's another blonde question -- what's the advantage of going with the inverted mb in the TJ07. The only one I can think of is you have the window on the other side. (I'm sure there is a better reason than this )

    Shazza,

    First point....drink more scotch!
The main reason I elected the inverted setup is the H20 VC's. It's nice to see the coolers on top and it also helps with the wiring. The bad thing is that I have to turn everything around in my office! Thank you for the kind words.

    Too late.

The only reason that I would be pissed at you is because you started drinking before me tonight.

I can never get it right..is it I need a frontal lobotomy or a bottle in front of me?

I started early due to the fact that I have to get up early, read the newspaper, run the dogs and try to finish this monster!
