Since some people had use of this information, I was asked to post this in public so that everyone could be helped with this. So you wanted to run multiple instances of Seventeen or Bust? But you already tried loading up 2 or more of them manually from the same folder? That doesn't work for...
http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17945 Still in early stages but Louie Helm seems to be integrating it with the Prime95 GIMPS client. They are having some small problems, but should be good when its done.
Now we just need to keep it up
We'll have them in under a week at current production. That will give us 16th place. After that, at current production, we'll have hit a ceiling. All teams ahead of us seem unpassable. I'll cut down a little so as to help other XS DC teams once this has come to pass.
Users are saying between 5-10% increase in speed, although I think thats becasue of the way you can set how many blocks are run before it reports back. "Windows Beta Client -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is just a stand alone exe....
Just wanted to say I joined the 17 team. User name BrokeDown
I am back on SOB for a while. I have not run it in quite some time and i really like it, it is Simple, easy, and low maintenance. Currently i have 2 Q6600's and a E6750 on SOB, i might add more later. I figure i will stay around a month or 2 and rack up a couple hundred T and then move...
So... n values have broken 13XXXXXXX and with that scores get a little harder to get as n increases over time. Now heres the strategy. SBQUEUE. You'll find the info about SBQ in the sticky. Basically what I try and do is download a full months worth (or 3 weeks anyway) and keep it in the...

P-1 factoring is in need of mores cores to stay ahead of PRP. I was asked to recruite some team members. So I am posting this and I think it may be a better way to get some SOB Sieve points. The results for P-1 factoring are turned into SOB Sieve. After running SOB Sieve for over a month I learned...
Is there anyway to install the service on Vista x64 or any other way to run two instances?
So I've sieved about 2500G or so for PSP Sieve and I suddenly though "Doesn't SOB Sieve do the same thing?" So.. does the SOB Sieve use the same numbers as the PSP Sieve and if so how can I submit my results? Might as well get as much credit as possible ;)

http://www.seventeenorbust.com/ 7 left to go. Man I'd normally be on top of this. This is already old news. Damn!
:woot: Well done man. Some nice steady crunching going on.
Installed SoB service on the two P3s from the grandparents. P3 733 @ 840 and a 800 @ 992. Not much, but should add a few Gs per day :)
Has anyone come across SOB tray icons disapearing. I use the service install to get things going on a dual core. But lately the tray icons don;t appear when I restart the service. I've done NOTHING different than I always did. i installed AVG antivirus and anti spyware... and thats pretty much...

A big welcome to Mike047.:woot:
Well done Pal. Keep it up!:toast:
Just so that everyone knows... especially the partime helpers, who are very much appreciated along with the full timers on SOB, if you do not finish a test (ie if the client cannot contact the server for 30 days eg. if you run SOB for a day or two then stop) then you loose all credit that you have...
If you havn't noticed theres a race that our beloved Folders are having with Team Pheonix rising. yesterdays score will be my last biggish one for a while as I lend a hand, with many other crusaders from across all XS-DC, to fight to the bitter end. Now, I ain't one to go around telling people...
Something tells me that were going to have a good day today. No dumps... just plain dropping nice scores. Oh and where did NosBoost go to? And does anyone run SBQueue and notice that sometimes it just stalls?
I'm selling some Xeon stuff if anyone is intersted: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=113938&page=5
