RMAs in EUROPE:
Just a heads up, just in case any of you needs an RMA in europe, some shops collect boards before they send them to their distributor, who collects boards before he sends it to us :D
So RMA times can be quite lengthy depending on the shop. If your shop cant replace...
Ok, i figured it might make sense to start an FAQ to cover the most common questions and problems. If the Solutions dont work for you, or you dont understand them, please post here or send me a private message. Please provide me with as many details about your hardware and what settings and...
When you put together a system or have a finished system that doesnt work at all or isnt stable (anymore), its time for som debugging :D
Ill try to extend this guide bit by bit to help new guys who arent that familiar putting a system together, and will try to take some time to add some...
Award & Intel Debug Codes:
The most common Debug codes, what they mean, and how to work with them.
This Guide is intended for the Foxconn Blackops board, but the codes should be identical or very similar on all Mainboards with Award BIOSes.
If your problem isnt described in this list or the...
For A1 error, reset CMOS, get into BIOS, select to load "optimized defaults", save n reboot and after reboot A1 error is gone and you can select whatever you want in BIOS.
Apply mainly to latest beta BIOSes and P10 for BloodRage (maybe even Flaming Blade, no idea).
Award & Intel X58 Debug Codes:
The most common Debug codes, what they mean, and how to work with them.
This Guide is intended for the Foxconn QuantumForce BloodRage board, but the codes should be identical or very similar on all Mainboards with Award BIOSes (Gigabyte, DFI, etc)
If your problem...
In this thread I will be posting the links for the new beta & public ( stable ) BIOSes for the Foxconn BloodRage.
Click on the BIOS name to download it from my FTP.
I made an excel spreadsheet of the most important BIOS settings to:
- share your BIOS settings with others
- write down notes about the settings you tried
- write down details of a configuration profile that worked well
I always used spreadsheets like this when pushing my system,...
FYI, this is the only way i managed to get PATA IDE+DVD working on BR:
first device on the PATA cable is the DVD drive, jumpered to slave
second device at the end of the PATA cable is the HDD, jumpered to master
if i jumper them the other way around or switch them around on the cable, BR...
Wonder if anyone can help me out.
Just assembled my pc with Q8200 cpu and TW3x4G1333C9 ram
With memtest, either stick of ram in any slot is fine no errors 100%
The problem Im seeing is when I put both sticks of ram into the board.
Just like most of you here I was not doing as well as I should with my test ram here and BlackOps, so I dug deaper and look to have found the issue.
on the dimms I was testing here SPD was booting at 1067, seems the board does not like this to much, so i develoiped a test spd that boots at 1333....
My Flaming Blade seems to have a crummy bios, cant overclock a bit and I´d like to know if I can flash the latest Blood Rage to it :D
Some of you reported that vcore was fluctuating when the cpu was under partial load or switching from idle to load. This is a result of intel adjusting the VID of the Nehalem family processors on the fly. To prevent this from happening just disable CxE under CPU features in the QuantumBios menu....
Third Party User made software are always the best companion when overclocking... For Quantum Force Motheboards these few are really handy:
Crystal CPUID - Especially handy when adjusting multipliers of CPU (You can only adjust to the maximum of the Multiplier you've set in bios for Intel CPUs)...
Award Debug Beep Codes:
The most common Debug Beep codes, what they mean, and how to work with them.
This Guide is intended for Foxconn QuantumForce motherboards, but the codes should be identical or very similar on all Mainboards with Award BIOSes.

If your memory doesnt boot with a certain BIOS version or doesnt work stable at its rated speed, or doesnt oc very well, feel free to try these SPD files.
These are pretty much microns reference SPDs, so they should work on any board with any BIOS version. Some people reported that...
Anyone happen to have a picture of how you plug the power and reset switch in.. lol.
My booklet is in storage. And Qauntam Force site is down right now!
I found small bag with small heatsinks with my BloodRage.. question is, for what are they? :) Just curious.
im burried in emails and work, but heres a quick headsup for you all :D
Theoretical CPU GTL steps
BIOS setting VTT*
When no cpu fan is detected or the cpu fanspeed is spinning really slow, the board will pause during post and display an error message, waiting for confirmation to continue. This can be quite annoying when you use watercooling or other unconventional cooling.
This warning message is actually...
If you use a 3pin fan on the cpu 4pin fan connector the pwm fanspeed control might not work and the fan will always run at 100%.
Just connect the fan to any of the 3pin fan connectors and you can adjust the fanspeed normally :toast:
Several people already contacted me and said they cant find the IFPA or Intel Front Panel Audio header on their BloodRage board, to connect the front panel of their case to the board so they can plug in speakers or headsets on the front of the case and dont have to work their way to the back of the...
First of all make sure you use BIOS G30 or newer, there was a vga BIOS incompatibility problem with those cards on a couple of boards, ours included, and G30 and newer fix that problem :D
It seems that using only 2 6pin vga power plugs can cause the cards to not boot reliably or run...
The PCB revision number for FOXCONN QuantumForce motherboards is printed onto the PCB on the bottom of the board.
Here is how to find it on the BloodRage X58 board:
PS: Many thanks to Touge180SX for the picture! :toast:
I keep getting confused myself so I made a little list for myself.
I figured it might be helpful for some people here to understand memory better, especially with all the pseudo technical marketing names such as PC3 16000 etc describing the speed of the memory :D
There are the...
First of all please use tools like CPUz and Everest to doublecheck your CPUs current clockspeed.
Once you confirmed there is efinately something wrong with the CPU clockspeed, please update to the latest BIOS, enter the quantum force BIOS menu, and set EIST to "native" and core frequency unlimit...
Just a quick headsup since im busy with so many things.
Ill add more infos and details to this bit by bit.
for now i think this is already pretty helpful i hope :D
orthos and memtest 86+ test5 will both work about the same as in telling you what the max stable speed is. if one...
