Project: Lian Dream

I have had a Lian-li v1100 sitting around for sometime. Now I have the time to build up something nice with it. Once done ill use it for my main rig.

Most of the parts I need have arrived, except an order from Petra

Heres where everything sits so far:

where did you get that much sleeving? and whats that cost? better in bulk.

I just started on my build today but left my camera at home,

all my parts and case are at the shop, will be staring a build log tomorrow.

Thanks, will need allot of sleeving and wire extensions for the Pinnacle 24 case, its a beast!

Haven't had much time lately but I did get a chance to paint the drive bays. I was going to pull them out and do it, but the rivets at the top seemed one of a kind. wasn't sure I would be able to find something to work for that. So i just taped everything up and painted in the case which turned out fine.

Also got most of the rest of the parts I ordered.

There yate loons special edition made for ncix. D12SL-12 is the model code.

So got a few more things today, feels like christmas everyday having parcels coming so often

but anyhow I got a few more... cable clamps then I thought was coming. If anyone needs/wants some just shoot me a pm.

So those can only be found at NCIX? Dang, I like those alot and they'd look real nice on the inside of a MM case.

Started work on the top panel which will hold the rad in place. Hopefully finish that all up on tomorrow. Not sure if I am going to sand the aluminum piece that's going on top or to paint it. Also had time to cable a few more of the many fans I have now.

yes im slow at modding

anyhow dremel got a healthy (I think) workout tonight. Cut the top for the rad to breath through. Dremel was very hot after.

I think the dremel can take more beating that that

, had mine running hot for a few days when i first got it (cutting up all scrap metal i can find

after cutting everything... drilling... so much re-measuring... and I still failed

but its not too bad, only notice it when your up close so im just going to live with it for now.

So I got it mostly up and running... and then I found out the rad has a hole. So i will have to either fix the small pin hole. Or... buy a new one. Ill have a better look tomorrow. The current setup for wires and such are just temporary. So a bit more wire sleeving and the rad solution and im back off to the races. In the meantime I have made a nice command center in my media room

So I did all of my sleeving, I now have alot of respect for people that have done it! It is very time consuming but so worth it for how it looks!

Heres a few quick pics of some of the finished cables.

And the dvd drive mounted in the bottom. I also made a door on the side panel for the drive. Ill get to that later regarding pics.
