whoa whoa whoa what is all this shenanigans!
Ohh, how sweet Nils!![]()
Haha Nils.
Nice sketches![]()
Thanks for the comments Guys, I really appreciate them!
Ok, this is probably going to be a letdown but the red glow is in fact what is commonly referred to by many, as simply the sun.
It's the sun you see through the res. I actually thought about putting LED lights in there but nothing ever came of it.
This is a good point and one I'm planning to address when they go to production. The murderbox ones will indeed have murderbox up there.
I've actually started using the 1/8" more lately. I sleeved most of the cables before I got a roll of 1/8". Truth be told, I didn't even know it existed until a few weeks ago.The supplier I used to deal with never had any. My new supplier does and I'm digging the stuff big time.
If you're referring to the fact that you can't see most of the cutout shape its because its been blown out by the lighting (sun).
This is exactly what Ill be testing this week before they go into production. I'll do extensive tests to ensure there is adequate airflow before offering these for sale. The absolute LAST thing I want is to put a part on the market and have it fail or be deficient in any way.
Nils, that is awesome man thank you! It's an honor to be illustrated by you.
It's brotherly love, easy.
Besides, it's only gay if you make eye contact.![]()

We're on a roll today!
Charles: I'm also interested in the airflow testing, but there's one hitch; I haven't seen a single fan in the upper compartment during this whole build. The mid-plate is now sealed, so no air from the rads. The two 92mm fans are also gone with the new backplate. So where will the airflow come from?

Charles, love the way those top grills show off the GPU block!![]()
Very nice project, i have been watching for a lot of time.
So i give you
10 for powercoat-very neat
10 for watercooling mounts etc
10 for harddisk mounts
10 for sleeving the w/c tubes
5 for cable sleeving-i just think it'd be better ir ll cables were together in one sleeve is all
3 for cable mangement-You still have a lot of cables showed out which doesnt help airflow ad i think it'd look nicer with n cables out
All of the murdermod projects have individually sleeved 24 ATX power cables and since it's all under water airflow isn't as important. The various wires and cables are nicely ordered too which I find pretty neat.
What appeals to me is the "organized chaos" that is part of the wire management. It's provides texture to the inside.
And as mentioned, air flow is not necessary with the water cooling.
To each his/her own. Everyone has different tastes.![]()

I agree. I quite like being able to see the sleeved cables. Normally you would try to hide the cables, cos they're unsightly. But these ones are just beautiful, and deserve to be shown off![]()
The sleeved cables really look the best in a modded PC and here is no exception. If you can't hide 'em, show 'em to great effect. Charles redefined the way PSU cables should be sleeved.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Fried Chicken, your order is ready for pickup.
I’ve been waiting a month to say that.Ok, I was a bit premature; I’ve still got to verify whether there’s adequate airflow in the upper chamber with the new grill. I’ll be testing for ambient temps under load and whatnot. I hope to have results later in the week. There’s no question that the top grill won’t be adequate for an air-cooled system – no way, no how.
twwen2 I’ll report back with a detailed analysis Mate.
Final finals w/ wallpaper sizes.
If anyone wants to see them with the correct color profiles they can turn on color management support in Firefox 3.
link
Color management is turned off by default to prevent subtle color variations affecting the overall look of web sites. To enable it you must set gfx.color_management.enabled to true (via about:config) and restart Firefox.
Then you'll see the actual color of that SATA cable.
