Charles my friend *handing over the towel* - I hope you survived in your little studio - the photos are worth it!!!!

Congratulations Fried-Chicken for getting this machine. Enjoy your way home ... watch the guys in black suits chasing you

Btw. Charles: Even without Firefox 3 it does look as orange as it should on a hardware calibrated monitor!

I am so envious FriedChicken - that is possibly the best TJ07 build I have ever seen!! Fantastic work Charles!

Charles - I look forward to seeing your analysis of the top plate - I don't see any problems with running one in mine as I still use the 92mm fans at the back but the whole system will be under water so a minimal air flow will be sufficent.

Wow a lot of updates since my last visit!

The orange SATA does wonders. One can call it artsy, or stylish --- but it adds a whole 'nother dimension. Its like the box has a voice saying "I'm sexy and you know it!"

Hmm what can i say that hasnt already been said...

"I am now pleased to award you, Charles, the first man to use enough sleeving to circle the Earth!"
    or

It's so freakin' hot in there, I can't tell you. My "lighting" consists of the Sun and a couple pieces of white foam core. I shoot in the AM and bounce the sun off the cards onto the machine. The room is a 6' wide "sunroom" with floor to ceiling windows facing East. It's about 38°C in there in the morning and I probably lose a gallon of water every time I do pics.

Thanks for thee towel mate, do you want it back?

I hear you. It's borderline for me. Like FC said, the idea was "controlled chaos". Next featured build will be back to the cleaner look.

It's a beast. The loop is two litres of coolant. I estimate it weighing in at 30kg and that's a conservative estimate. Every time I have to heft it off and on the bench I expect a football sized hernia to explode out of my groin, Alien style.

A rough guess would put the total length at 150ft

I can just see the Techflex Execs; sitting around the boardroom table, trying to understand the recent surge in sleeving sales...

I wonder if they trade publicly.

I really love the originality and aesthetics of this mod and the execution is without peer. Nice work!

Secondly, I had a question about the copper elbows you used on this case and on a different one you posted pictures of in this same thread. Are you using one size above the tubing size to get them nice and snug? Do you have to use any sealant along with it to make sure it doesn't leak?

Would it be possible to see a 'night' shot if you still have the case? I'm interested in seeing the more subtle lighting effects instead of the disco look xD

I basically joined these forums to comment on this case. I don't think any other one person has influenced my builds as much as Charles has. First time I saw the MurderBox I was amazed, and I think its really cool that you are working with people to customize what the want out of your systems. Keep up the good work man.

That's an image of you I'd rather not have been given, thanks.

Those are copper elbows made by Martinm210. He's since stopped making them but I was lucky to get 12 beforehand. They're pure perfection and although I understand his reasons for stopping, I'd do a backflip if he'd make more. I had to paint them to match the theme but as you saw before, they come beautifully polished and clearcoated.

The barbed ends are oversized for 1/2" hose but with a bit of persuasion, are able to be coaxed on. I then used a thick cable tie to seal the deal.

I do still have the case but I've yanked the lighting. I decided it wasn't achieving the result I was going for. FC needs the machine ASAP so rather than make him wait, fc|murderbox will go without.

Wow, thank you for the kind words, I'm honored.

I'd like to also welcome you to XtremeSystems.

Project Update: I forgot something; at the onset of my thermal tests, I realized that I didn't make provisions to cool the 2 Raptors in the front. Friday I'll fab up a mount and install a low speed 120mm under the drives and get air moving past them. Then I'll resume thermal testing and report back.
