That's a very unique idea Seb. I look forward to seeing your project when you're able to continue.

It's just too simple and basic for this build.

I think it would be more cool to take the design of the front plate , you can transform it and mix it with more round design ( basicaly a sort of crop circle)
It have to be cool but discrete

Just my 2 cent.
hehe, you may be right about the fan design. I think if its transparent it might not be so bad. I'll keep thinking about a new design but meanwhile I'll have this one cut just to see how it looks. I don't want to over-design the thing - my thinking was to create a simple design that you'd expect to see at the top of a case. My goal is for people to see past the acrylic and focus more on what's inside.

There are no fans in the back of your box. The only fans are the one´s from the radiators.
Even if there are "holes" in this panel it would get pretty hot in there.
But I´m sure you already have an idea for this one.

PS: Looking forward
Hey Steffen.

I don't think heat buildup should be a problem as long as the warm air is able to escape out the top. I've got some temp probes I'll use to test this theory just to be sure. Of course for an air/fan cooled system this design would not work. Oh, there's a 120mm fan in the front bays to cool the HDs. This fan also helps circulate the air in the upper section.
