if i had a v2000 i'd help you out but i dont, just like the great mods you guys do. i'd expect the lower fan by the cpu would be exhaust and the one buy the vid card as intake to give better cooling. the direction to mount the psu, i have no idea but i'd try having one of the 80mm's as intake and the other as exhaust.

BAH!! Oh, I thought you did and were just being lazy!!! Yeah, that's the way I have everything except the 80mm fans are right next to each other so I have them both pulling out....

This one inspired me to finally get off my ass and get my done. I picked up the dual PSU bracket from Frozen CPU, still had to drill some holes so that I could mount my PSU with the fan pointing down. Here is a look.

I have the bracket slid down to allow room for my 8 pin connector to plug in from the bottom to the motherboard. Thats the only reason there is a slight space here, every lined up and worked perfectly.

I just got back from Fry's and they have an "A+" case for $249. It looks almost identical to this series, but I couldn't help notice it felt a bit flimsier than my previous Lian-Li's. Anyone else run into these? I also noticed another "A+" case that looked like the xClio's.

thats the Tagan Black Pearl http://www.tagan.com/index.php?c_id=...7&p_cata_id=86

A+ makes both of the cases the tagan and the lian li, i'd assume the quality is the same. there are a few differences tho, the tagan holds fewer hard drives and is supposed to have mounting holes for 2 120mm fans on the top panel and a few other minor things

    dnottis, looking great

The 5 1/4 drive screws are the same as most computers but the 3 1/2" bay drive screws have a barrel mid section that slides in the runners and locking mechanism.
That's covered in the manual, you should have. But here's a copy if you don't have it. V2000 manual

Allright, quick question for all the v1000 owners.
After months of saving and assembling parts, I finally am ready to begin the mock-stage and decide where everything is going to go.
I have a v1000b II+ (which as far as I know is exactly the same as all other v1000's, it just has some funky fan brackets) and am trying to fit a PA120.2 somewhere in the case.
I have the M12 Seasonic 600 Modular (which I believe is standard sized PSU) in the bottom. I tried fitting the rad into the bottom, and I feel the only way to do that would be to pop out the front divider or strut where the front panel connections are. And then it would barely fit. And I mean barely. Question 1: if I went with this rad placement, would I lose structural integrity of the case by removing the strut, or is that nothing to worry about?

Possible placement 2- in the top of the case. I'll be running 1 single 8800 GTS and 1 Azuntech soundcard, so I don't see any other uses for the PCI slots (oh if it matters, it's a IP35 Pro mobo).
Question 2: If I place the rad further back towards the end of the case, what do I have to worry about? I know I'll lose PCI slots, but I've mocked up the case and everything seems to fit.
Question 3: If I place it more into the Drivebays, what do I need to think about? Advantages/disadvantages to the set-ups?

The only pump placement I can find would be in the bottom of the drivebay, where they have the 3.5 floppy slot. I haven't really figure out where the microres will go, but I may end up with a T-line for space issues.

Anyone care to help me out a little here? BTW first water-cooled case, so I feel veeeerrrryyyy noobish(squared). Thanks!

You could leave that front strut but cut a hole for therad in it. It's a tight fit though.
Up top you thinking will need to be where the first few inches of tubes will go, rather than the rad. If you use normal barbs and tube the initial run extends quite a bit before you can bend it around.
There's a pic in my build thread that illustrates what I mean.
Which pump? A stock DDC 3.2 or a alphacool top DDC will go in the bays neatly or under the floor depending on your drive set up.

Theres sketch up models of the v1000 pumps and rads here. You can get the free sketch up here and its easy to get to grips with enough to sort your layout in.
Marci has done some grat PA rad models.

@jedda - I went through your thread for posterity's sake and am really impressed by what you've done. I kind of felt that prob though, which you pointed out in your thread about having the rad too far forward. I'm thinking now to space it more towards the back, leaving just enough clearance for the tubes to sqeak by the gfx card and drive bays. On second thought, I may place the ddc3,2w/alphcool top next to the drive rack on the floor, and cut holes in the floor like you did for tubing.
So you guys see no other problems with the rad in teh back other than the loss of PCI slots?

I just got mine V-1000B PLUS, my first Lian Li case, man it is pretty small lol I thought it was bigger as I am used to big cases like the Evo 830, but I like it , I was impressved by the build quality and the finishing of the case, and it looks dammm sleek man!

Oke few things I would like to know,
How I should place the fans, I thought as follow: Rear: intake for the TRUE( fresh air would do , or should I use it for exhaust?) Both top fans exhaust , and the front Intake ( using Scythe kama bay), and the side patent fan, intake( but is the side fan now restrictive as I got now 2 top fans and the patent fan is very close, well if this fan is restrictive I want to know because I want to buy a window panel, if the patent fan would be restrictive I would buy the one without a mesh @ the top right on the plexi window http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/...oducts_id=2491
And if the fan would be a addiotional help I will buy the one with the mesh:
    http://pc-cooling.de/Gehaeuse-Zubeho...B+Plus+II.html

And I see there is a Floppy 3.5inch bay, could it be removed and put there a 5.25 inch Fancontroller? or only a 3.5inch fancontroller would fit? And the last thing, since I heared if u install HDD on the rack in the lower chamber it would vibrate and causing the case to resonate thus noisy, So I would like to buy some 3rd party anti vibrations solution for HDD, but they need to be installed in a 5.25 buy and need screws mounts for them. Can they be installed? I thought the V1000 use a screwless design for their 5.25 , would I got the option to install my HDD there?

LOL this picture is what I used for 120.2 Grill mod for the 2 x120 fans, but I edit it.

If you've just got it you should know theres an anti-vibration set up in the lower drive cages.
You can put any 5 1/4 thing in place of the floppy bay like a controller.
Usually the side and rear extract. One from the cpu zone and the other the gpu. Theres no prob with 4 exhaust but only one inlet. The case is both heat sink and inlet for air flow. Thats why the design has holes.

I found a e-tailer; frozencpu.com that I can buy theses screws alone but still sucks to pay 20$ shipping for 0,5$ screws lol

    Nice setup, disruptfam!

I see it often and I never ask, but it's killing me to know how you guys mount a radiator on its side in the bottom of a v2000/2100. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough...can anybody enlighten me?

Here are two pics of my current rig (v2100 doesn't disqualify me does it? lol):

    A few notes:
    -MCR320 => hollowed out fan frames (cheapo shroud) => S-Flex SFF21F
-The bottom of the case (under the rad) has been replaced with mesh in order to allow air flow.
-The Swiftech copper mosfet heatsinks were falling off so I cut the end of the heatpipe from the stock mosfet heatsink and am using that now (need a new pic).

    My todo list:

-Move the pump to a better location (I could probably eliminate alot of tubing length).
-Add Martin's uber elbows to my loop in a few (obvious) spots.

Lol i tried to route the tubing as clean as possible...but it's not easy to keep it super clean when you have 3 seperate loops you know

Temps are decent at the moment would be better if my ambients weren't so damn high...

The drive bays are the same in both. You can see the neoprene runners and special screws in this pic looking from behind. There's a locking slide on the front.
