I can honestly say there is really no reason to use the 3.5mm at this point. I haven't officially run it on the test bed but judging by the flow killage with 2 DDC-2's in series I say best to stay away. Cathar funny enough mentioned that ~4.7mm is optimal. This is all on a dual core FWIW.
