No noticeable temp changes. My cpu is pushed to the absolute limit that I doubt its even prime stable. Idles are 44,44,36,37. Multiple mounts still the same. I guess two cores are being worked harder than the other two. Those were pretty much the same temps as before. Load is around 70 for all 4 cores fans on full blast. Temp improvements within 2 degrees or so can be so easily swayed by ambient temps. Save ur money and get better fans.

Well I just installed the 3.5mm nozzle. All I can say is WOW! Holy flowkiller Batman! MUCH more restrictive than the 4.5mm... I can honestly say there is really no reason to use the 3.5mm at this point. I haven't officially run it on the test bed but judging by the flow killage with 2 DDC-2's in series I say best to stay away. Cathar funny enough mentioned that ~4.7mm is optimal. This is all on a dual core FWIW.

I noticed that as well. I had a hard time telling if the water was even flowing at all. I'm wondering about the nozzle diamater all together. The nozzles I have measure just over 4mm and just over 5mm diamater. Definately not 4.5 and 5.5

Do you know where the measurement is taken from? If cather says 4.7 is optimal, I'd love to try and open up the 3.5 to measure 4.7 since I won't be using the 3.5.

There is a 3.5mm nozzle which is the smallest, the next size up is 4.5mm.

I will take a 4.7mm nozzle for my 1/2" FuZION low-flow DDC-01 setup and document the test bed for you.

Once I fix the Liang MCW350 that leaks in two places

    Is the o-ring in there?
Looks like a PTS head that's not tight enough or has it's o-ring left in the stock top.

Maybe you MX2 users should allow some time to cure as well, contrary to what the specs say.
For me MX-1 and 2 seems to give the best temps after one week of running.

before I had the nozzles load temps were 53C on core 0 and 2 and cores 1 and 4 would fluctuate between 53 and 54C and I did 4 mounts and were getting roughly the same temps each time. but after I installed the Quad Nozzle I'm getting 51C on all cores so a improvement for me.

    btw i'm using Arctic Ceramique

I did some more acurate measuring and you're right. No matter, I installed the 5.5 just to see the difference and the temps are actually worse than the 3.5 with all its resriction. Could be a bad mount, but either way I'm going to take the block apart one last time, put the 4.5 in and call it a day.

Yeah 4.5 is the sweet spot no doubt about it. I put the 4.5mm back in and I'm liking it much better.

There was no O-ring on the stock top that I saw, and the top didn't come with an O-ring or fittings everything was separate. The second place it was leaking is at the bottom in a hole marked/denoted number 1

This shows the o-ring I mentioned.

It sits between stator and top. Can stick to the top and be missed during re-assembly with a new top.

Hope so. I've been lucky with mounts on this block so far. Good thing too, I don't have the patience for 5-6 mounts to get it right.

Indeed it was there, thanks a million -- disassembling now.

and I will let the stator dry out for about 6 hours (even though the pump is submersible) before I run it again in my test loop.

With the 3.5 in I can't even see water moving in the micro res. This weekend i'll definately break the loop back down and try out the 4.5. Temps aren't bad at all though, E6420 @3.2 w/ 1.32V idle 24/29, load ~47~48 roughly. That's with a ambient of around 78F though.

If your referring to the DDC, it most certainly is NOT submersible. If it still runs at full RPM's, consider yourself very fortunate. I have an AC top that toasted 1 DDC and 50% toasted another one before I found the hole that force fed PC Ice down the screw hole next to the outlet. The first pump is totally torched and is unrepairable, the other might be salvageable but I don't know if I can be bothered.

I just installed the 4.5mm nozzle and My temps are 1-2c lower on idle and 2-3c lower on load. Could be the mount, but these are the best temps I've seen (ambiant air temps considered)

I know mx-2 says faster curing times, but what is the best way to cure it and how long should it take?
