um....I can't remember exactly, maybe someone else can chime in, but when I flashed the primary BIOS, I used the DOS flasher, and it did NOT restart after the flash.

When I did alt-12 once to flash the backup BIOS, it DID restart after the flash.

BTW, when you flashed the primary bios, did you flash the backup bios after the VERY FIRST restart?
