That better not be true for the sake of AMD fans because thats worse than rebranding as you get worse performance for a higher number and is crazy misleading. Its would be one of the worst branding in history as everything performs worse than there predecessors.

The performance jump is pretty weak as well and doesn't really make NV change much, just that the gtx 480 has to go down to about 380 euros and a 512 shader gtx 480 with 750 mhz clocks at 450 euros or less should match up pretty well against the 6970.
