lol, the 6970 is going to be ~2x 6870, but only 44% stronger

i knew xfire wasnt up to sli quality, but <50% is just LOL

and WHY would they make it weaker? if that is really the performance comparison i would have expected them to be the 6770 and the x2 be called the 6870.
also were those numbers based on Dx10, Dx11, or a mixture. cause we all know that with some tessellation the numbers vary by ALOT. so if its a mix, we can drop another 10-20%
