Sorry I know I've asked this before, but can you link me to the exact LCD screen you bought?

LCD's are dying and old.

The new gen which is a lot nicer is a small 5-7inch touch screen LCD and using a program called samurize to pick up CPUID values.

But i think shazza is using either a 4 line display Matrix Oribital or looks like the matrix typhoon.

if you do go LCD make sure you get a VFD display. There is no competition between the normal vs. VFD.
