Well I thought I would post my lastest upgrade build to my Cosmos 1000. My first project Liquid Mango http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=187590 was a great learning experience I decided I could do a lot better.
My goal here was to stealth two pumps for a dual loop system, add some bling, an MCR320 and set it up for my future upgrades.
Here is what I started with.

Not bad looking and great performance but it really needed more.
Here is the old pump location
I searched the net to find a good way to mount 2 Swiftech MCP655 pumps in a Cosmos 1000 case and couldn't find what I had in mind so it was time to be creative.
I made bracket to hold the 2 pumps side by side in the lower HD bay and cut out the bottom for easy speed adustment of the pumps and I can alos put the drain tubes down ther out of sight.
A little test fit, but where is the other pump? Well I'm not giving up gaming and playing matches so the other pump is busy working. Flushing the old blue out here.
More mods to the case before the painting can start.
Wiring managment holes cut out.
Increased the breathing holes.
Added some modders mesh to the top grill.
Ok all the cutting is done, lets pic some colors, I'm thinking blue metalic and semi-flat black for the case.
I looked at keeping the doors silver but gave that up for more blue. Time to paint the frame.
2 days later and 100 plus rivets
Now for some bling, I loved the blue and black thing so I painted the 120 and 220 rads blue added some chrome fans and its looking good. Yes I know that fan is blowing toward the HD and is not in the same flow path but it works great.
Back to the pumps, this is what I ended up with. I was worried about flow loss from the 90 elbows but I tested it out on the bench and flow loss was minimal.
The drain tubes work great. Lay the computer on its side, pop the cork, plug in my long drain tube, put computer on table and drain away.
This was a little something to add character to the case.
Some other ideas I'm still working on
I wanted a lot of UV light but didn't want to see the tubes.
Ok time to show you where I'm at today.
Can you see the smile on the skulls face, I think he likes it there. Anyway I've got the left side door painted but still need to paint the back panel door. The Tagan power suppy has a lot of wires and getting that back door on was a pain but its on and fits.
I can paint it without damaging the a paint job when I install the back panel.
I decide to help the ecomomy with my own computer upgrade stimulus bill. I suggest you all do the same.
I just ordered 2 EVGA 285 SSC video cards, 2 x EK-FC285 GTX SLI - Nickel-Plated gpu coolers, a Q9650 to replace my E8500 and 4 more gigs of Munchkin Ram. Everything except the coolers will be here tomorrow. EK says 3to 5 days before they ship.
I'll be posting some more pics soon of the final build. When I get the 285's I'm thinking of ways to clean up the gpu loop, looks to busy right now.
Anyway tell me what you think.
