well, so far so good... my board works! feeeewww... but the bad news is I think I got as crappy mount with the cpu cooler.. at 2800 with cpu vcore on auto my load is in the high 50s... might just be fresh AS5 also, but I seem to remember it being a bit cooler before when I first ran prime... like loading right at 50 or so.. anyways.. I think this board puts a little more vcore in by default than my old one did, so that might be the cause for the extra heat... I decided to take her up to bios f5e for s and grins... f3 seemed sluggish while in the bios menu and I dunno, it just felt like an early rev bios... Vista64 did remarkably well booting in the new env for the first time.. I only needed to reboot once, and didn't even need to use the gigabyte CD for any drivers at all. lol. it doesn't get much easier than that.

so I want to disable all of those extra cpu features like prochot and virtualization, etc right? the eclipse didn't have any of that stuff...

edit: so do any of you have dynamic energy saver enabled? does that makes the load LEDs light up while the mobo is active??
