Besides, one thing is data corruption, another is to render a HDD unusable (altough a low-level format i think could fix it). The second I dont want to touch with a wooden pole.

I already dont trust sata drives reliability, adding another factor to their death is unacceptable.

well, that would make sense, yeah, but according to xt0m the wd disk took told him the hdds are beyond repair and he needs to rma them. maybe i misunderstood him... and obr said his hdd only clicks and doesnt even start anymore iirc, no? and gary at anandtech wouldnt have posted the hdds were dead if all they needed was a low level format with the wd disk tool...

slim142, armor was a terrible case, are you sure the armor+ is better?

guys, pedro said there are B0 and B1 versions of the chipset and the B1 ones supposedly have a lot of bugs fixed... so maybe the early boards were B0 and the newer ones are B1? can you check with cpuz or everest if the chipset revision can be seen?
