790 corruption issues?

For anyone old enough to not have being in Dippers when NF2 released (in rev2).
There was Corruption back then also, it was finally fixed after a good few Silicon Image SATA Bioses and SATA Drivers.
I will assume the same will happen here, the MOBO's are new and support is immature, Nvidia will make new SATA Bioses and SATA Drivers.
REMEMBER to Lock your BUS Clocks.

hmmm i was using 7 nf2 boards and never had any corruption issues... then again i was using IDE hdds then...

maybe you should move mine and elmors entry to no corruption IF we are not considering user forced corruptions of OS during RAM testing as valid saaya

disk is totally dead, no go on another mobo too. It is not my Raptor but new sealed only for testing disk Seagate, now is disk dead and i hear some clik-clak from ...

interesting problems with the S2E, i use 0507 till i've got the mobo and have 2pcs WD sata hdd (raptor 36, caviar 320) and i don't have any problems with them ...

well for how long are you using it now? 2 weeks? 3 weeks?

anybody honestly think that a bios fix will/can resolve these corruptions?

well it seems 680 and 780 have the same issues and theyve been on the market for how long? if its possible to fix, then nvidia doesnt seem to want to fix it or they arent able to fix it... so i personally wouldnt hold my breath...

this really sucks tho... so many people praised the boards/chipset, then it suddenly started to be very quiet... and then one after the other everybody started posting about the problems...

FYI, xt0m just lost a 74GB Raptor and a 250Gb WD HDD on his 790 board! :o
he got bsod's, then problems during install, so he ran the WD disk tool and they are both dead/damaged...

5hdds so far, and they are all WD! coincidence?
people with high end systems tend to use WD raptor drives, so maybe its as coincidence...
but it might have to do with the HDDs as well!
