I dont know about that - I would have thought you will be able to get tighter timings with good quality 4x1GB RAM and its dirt cheap at the moment. Benefits of 2z2GB are less load on the MB and extra slots but nothing uses more than 4GB at present unless you are into serious CAD/Video.

i was actually going to get the same Ballistix 8500 as you have in your sig since there is a rebate for the next few days.

i will only be using 4gb anyways on XP 64
