I may not have gotten a low voltage super clocker, it seems I got one tough vcore loving sob.
And you haven't needed to increase the voltage to keep the same stable 3.6 over several months? If so that's good news for all of us. I think I might just have to bump mine up to 420x9.

I haven't had to touch a thing now for 6 months!!

I bought the G0 with the intentions of getting 3.6ghz and at least 48hrs prime stable, I wanted a trouble free OC. If the chip I got wasn't capable of doing that I was going to just vcore it death and replace it when it dies. Well after 6 months now the cpu to my surprise its still operating just fine at such a high vcore along with the little P5k-e supplying the juice.

I was expecting it to start degrading eventually but as of yet its been an absolutely trouble free OC, knock on wood. I do have what I consider to be a pretty good wc setup which I guess has probably been a big key.

Anyways as with anything ymmv but so far I'm very impressed with the durability of this chip and the mb for sustaining 6 months of trouble free abuse.

It makes me feel a little better about my investment in water cooling, this cpu actually makes the loop work compared to all the other cpu/mb's I've used with it.

Alright, I'm taking baby steps to get this CPU to where I need it to be. So far, I have it at 3200 with Vcore 1.20 in Bios, 1.176 CPUZ. Prime small FFT 2+ hours with temps 51-54c and max spike at 56c (RealTemp 2.2 51c plus 5c correction).

Are people seeing any degradation of their performance (needing more voltage than before, lower FSB than before, etc.) with speeds like 3.8 Ghz and higher? I'm assuming I can get to 3.8 with just over 1.4v and keep the load temps still in the mid 50's but I'm not going to do this if it's going to make my system perform worse somewhere down the road.

I swapped out my E6750 for a Q6600 and I just noticed this:

What's the deal and how do I correct this?

    MSConfig>boot>advanced options>

    Uncheck "Number of Processors"

    Check Detect Hal

Go to Device Manager and uninstall those two instances of E6750

Reboot after that. You should now have your four cores visible.

Go back and change things back to normal in MSCONFIG Change # of Processors to 4

Now it should see all four and everything normal.

I think I have a good one here, these L737B's are quite something......

Just a question about the IP-35 pro, vcore seem to fluctuate alot constantly under full load (from 1.28 to 1.32), in other boards I had, once prime is running vcore does not move at all. Is this normal?

well, I got 3.7GHz pretty easily with a L737B. 1.4050v set in BIOS. water cooling is helping with the temps. They weren't much higher at 3.8GHz, but I got a blue screen after about 5 min of prime95.

I know this chip has more in it, and I hope to get 3.8+GHz 24/7. Not sure what to try next though.. anyway, here's what I got so far:

Ok, this is weird. I started Prime Small FFT last night before I went to bed. This morning, temps were 59-56c. Just got home from work, temps are down 54-49c after 18+hours Prime. CPU running at 3204 (356x9) @ 1.206 in Bios, 1.184 idle, 1.176 Prime load. Has anyone else had temp drops like this? I was getting disappointed with this CPU, but if I can keep these temps consistant, I'll be keeping it.

I find that temps on Prime95 are highest for the first few hours then level off a bit lower and stay there for the duration.

    As of today,
Are the 'newer' G0 q6600's better OC'ers, in general, than older ones? I have a L721A814 that sits at 3800Mhz (8x475) 24/7, crushing DVD's and rendering multimedia projects at ~100% core usage (Vegas, After Effects, etc..)

I am at the point where I can give away my e6700 in a spare machine to my nephew and was thinking about picking up another q6600.

    Thanks!

I actually figured out what was going on after I terminated prime (19 hours total) and saw 25% CPU still utilized. AVG was trying to update itself and was using 25% so prime was only running at 75% for the last couple of hours. I'm now trying to stabilize @ 3300, so far failed at 1.2250 (my VID), now running on 1.231 Bios, 1200 CPU-Z under prime, cores at 55-56c. My goal is to get 3400 under 60c, which is where my lapped E6750 was 24/7 under 55c with a Freezer 7.

If your CPU holds 8x475 stable, I'd keep it. Even on new Q6600 steps, it is rare to push above that even with WC for 24/7. You could achieve the same overclock with less vcore though, but temperatures could be the same, and you could just get a chip not even doing 3.6GHz

Just a question about the IP-35 pro, vcore seem to fluctuate alot constantly under full load (from 1.28 to 1.32), in other boards I had, once prime is running vcore does not move at all. Is this normal?

Ok, this is my modest score for now, on a DS3R. I think the mobo can't handle more FSB since I'm occuring problems on the 8x multiplayer. I will push it further after I get my LanParty P35-T2R and finally get the cooling done (TRUE needs to be lapped, and I still have to set everything up).

How do you guys run soo cool? Im hitting 72ºC on cores 1+2, and 65ºC on cores 3+4, and im running a lapped TRUE on my lapped Q6600 after a few hours of prime on small fft's

How do my 110cfm fans not work?!
    Ambient is around 25ºC normally.

Is it just due to my 1.300 VID and 1.448 Vcore to get it stable? I idle at 32ºC on the two higher cores.
Or do you think maybie i need more air into the case? I only have 1 inlet fan, and the exit fan is basically supercharged due to the extreme proximity of the 2 others, and then the gpu cooling fan is like 60cfm, and the psu fan blows out as well...

I guess ill go rip the side off the thing and prime for a few hours to see how my temps are affected in a open case?

Open case is probably a bad idea. More dust and crap going through. I'd add an intake fan though. Your system just isn't moving a ton of air. I'd actually add both an intake and outtake. You only have 1 each, right? If so, all the hot air is just sitting in there.
