Not sure if this is a bios thing, block not make proper contact, ihs and cores not properly in contact, a flawed ihs, or sensor malfunction.

My GPU show the same temps as before though.
I'm worked with a few E8400 CPUs. Those with non-flat heat spreader will run HOT by at leat 10C. The easiest fix is to lap the heat spreader but that would void the warranty.

Use the VID on the box plus 10%. This should yield 60C max under Orthos and a decent CPU cooler (Big Typhoon or equivalent).

The nominal overclock for these chips is 4.0-4.3GHz.
