    Hey winston856
This ram g-skillz hz or not really like by this board same thing happens with me and others Ive read about, highest speed Ive reach prime stable is 438x8
3500mhz at 2.1v prime stable which is low for my cooling setup I think

Winston856 is using PC2-8000 memory. On the 333/667 divider that's 500 FSB before the memory reaches it's rated speed. Doubtful that's his problem.

I dont know just guessing but when I use the same 333/667 divider I cant reach my rated speed 400fsb best I can do is 376fsb , now when I lower the multiplier I can bring my ram up a bit, think in a week or two Ill give the flex a try and also take my wc setup apart and put as5 on the nb sb and pmw

Yes that's why I'm wondering. Because I'm using the 1:1 (333/667) divider with 400x9 so the ram is only running 800Mhz now and is rated at 500Mhz 5-5-5-15 which is the current timing it's set at.

My next move is to fire up memtest86 and test the ram to see if it errors. That'll tell me if it's the ram or the board crapping out.

I'll report back with some results in the next day.

Thanks for the tip on blend only btw

Does this board (or P35 generally) support ECC ram?

So I've been around computers for awhile now but have never really considered overclocking until now. I just got an UT LP P35-TR2 with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 but am having problems overclocking it.

    Computer Specs:

    CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6750
    RAM - CORSAIR XMS2 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model CM2X1024-6400
Video Card - EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX Superclocked 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
    Bios - 6.00 PG (09/13/2007)

I am currently trying to overclock my PC. Anytime I change the FSB to 370 or higher and reboot I get a C1(Initialize POST Error Manager) post code on the diagnostics LED. Was hoping someone could help give me advice on what I am doing wrong. Have increased voltage on about everything I could think of before changing the FSB and it didn't help. If you need any additional information let me know.

    Thanks.

I know this means there's something with the ram, but it's underclocked and at stock volts right now. Is there another setting to adjust? I have the GTL setting appropriate.
I feel your pain big time. I have been having nothing but problems with my setup as well. My ram is rated at 533mhz, yet even at 400mhz it isn't stable. I have tried just about everything shy of trying each of my 4 sticks individually. You said you were able to run OCCT for 30 mins? What test? Try and go into the options and select to test your ram only, not cpu only and not cpu and ram and let me know what you come up with. Can you run a custom (1H) test as successfully as a 30 min test?

what psu, what bus speed is stable, what dividers are you running, timings, what are you changing , what did you leave on auto? there is many many things needed to determine where your problem is. please post as thorough of a description as possible.

I use the ballistix on my board. try using all default settings on the ram page auto everything. don't worry this is just temporary, make sure it is stable then reboot and make minor adjustments until you get to a good compromise of speed and latency. mine never acted right until after I did that. now they run fine and I manually tweak the primary timings. sub-timings I leave to auto.

    I am on it now.

The only 2 things that I have noticed that are different from the 1019 BIOS are 1: There is an "Adjust CPU Temp" Control in "PC Health Status" & 2: There is a "Shutdown After AC Loss" Control in "Genie BIOS"

I haven't had time to run any proper stability testing but my initial impression is it performs well & is stable as it should be. I have found marginally better performance than the 1019 BIOS & marginally slower than the 1005 BIOS in PI & Everest.

Here is a screenie of my typical 24/7 settings on the new 1107 BIOS showing 30-40mb/s more read bandwidth & 5ns faster latency over the 1019 BIOS.

Thanks for your reply. I have ran everything on auto unfortunately to no avail. Mind you, my system is great for 24/7 use. It never blue screens, locks up or anything while gaming, however stability testing is where it fails. That is the only time I have seen blue screens and lock ups. I am now currently fooling with the GTL settings which I previously ignored and left on Disabled 110/110/110. I have read this is a no no from the Anandtech article so am adjusting those now to see what I come up with. I surely hope it is stability.

If your FSB is at 400 and you set your RAM ratio to 5/6, as you said, your RAM is running at 480 MHz (960 DDR), which is outside of its normal range.

You may be hitting the wall due to RAM overhead limitations... meaning you may be overclocking the RAM too high without knowing its limit.

    Hold up It has dissapeared

It could just be a server glitch or maybe its been pulled in a hurry!!!!!

I have the BIOS but I wouldn't feel to comfortable passing it on untill I know why its gone.

Raja, Praz anyone care to comment.

That's what I was kind of guessing at just wasn't sure. Is there anyway to get the RAM to run within its normal range while increasing the FSB? Or do I have to get new RAM?

In addition to what Lood007 has already wrote, your voltages are all over the place. You are never going to find stability with those settings.

Don't know why the 07 BIOS has been pulled. Personally I didn't see anything it brought to the table performance wise over previous versions anyway.

Manually change your RAM multiplier to result in the lowest RAM speed possible. Selecting 'AUTO' may not use the most appropriate divider in your case.
