why is speedfan and smart guardian reporting that my cpu is at 80c (speedfan temp1) idle while coretemp is 27c?

here's the smart guardian custom skin i made for XS members
just rename the XS.jpg to backgroud.jpg then paste to your smart guardian directory and overwrite the old files

dose anybody else have a problem with smartguardian auto load up and only shows all voltages and tempslike this??? only dose it when it loads with windows, if i let windows load and "settle" and boot smart guardian myself its ok...

I have been trying to get the BIOS updated on my new motherboard, but keep having issues. It began when I was getting a "Windows N.5" error message when trying to create the BIOS floppy. I am using Windows Vista, and it seems to have a problem or two

Then I tried to do an end run and get the 13 09 BIOS in the zipped version and decompressed it, putting the AWDFLASH utility and the LP35D913.BIN files together on the same floppy. When I booted to the floppy, I got the message that the utility program was for a different brand of BIOS!

I feel this board has tons of potential, but need to be able to get the BIOS to update. Can anyone help me out here?

Usually it means the hardware driver extension had not loaded before the program was launched.

thank you, at last i get an answer, i've asked around a few times and had no response, i didnt want to bring it up again as i thought i was kinda a noob question, but hey i cannot know everything about pc's, so what can i do to fix this as i like it to auto boot, maybe put the ini/sys/exe higher up the chain?

How do you properly apply the Image I know the ini file just gets copied to folder and it over writes the previous but how do you get the graphics to display like you have????

delete (or rename) the old background.jpg and change XS.jpg to background.jpg.

I'm overclocking my q6600 and it runs prime small fft and 30mins of occt, when I run large fft then it will eventually bluescreen and reboot dumping the physical memory.

I know this means there's something with the ram, but it's underclocked and at stock volts right now. Is there another setting to adjust? I have the GTL setting appropriate.

Most likely voltages or GTLs. And when running Prime with a quadcore and a P35/X38 chipset anything but blend is a waste of time.

John, do you know if the X38 will do the Cell Shock better in terms of compatibility?
