even with r507a regas it would need to be tuned for higher loads of the quad. good luck , hope you can hit 4GHz but ive a feeling it needs to be tuned. you might hit it but trying to run for a few hours full load wont happen.....i dont think.

This P35 Board is a Muther F@cker with Ram and it depends on what you want to get out of it in terms of O.C and Dual Core vs Quad Core makes a huge Impact on Clocking Ram up high and its a trial by Fire to get everything just right, so be prepared to spend allot of time on getting what you want!

The D.F.I Expert was a piece of cake compared to this board but once again Really Stellar Ram will dictate scalability and stability in Overclocking on any board.

Yeah, don't go into the USB section of the BIOS at all. Having it for the last couple of weeks, I haven't seen anything new or better it brings with any hardware I have. I keep going back to the 9/13 BIOS over all other releases.

thats the one reason i always stayed away from dfi it was how picky these boards are with ram, now i might have to switch mine dang and i was going to get the ocz flex first and changed my mind at the last minute cuase people said why was i spending so much on ram when i was only going for 3600mhs at 800mz and that the g skills where $130

There really isn't any difference in cooling with air. Get whichever are cheaper.

ATTN: For those of you /us that have a hard time grasping and understanding CPU/VTT & NBV/VTT CPU 0/2 ~ CPU 1/3 ~ NBV GTL REF Voltages you Need to take a look at this very Scientific & Detailed Write Up that Praz has just written for the community that he has been diligently working on for quite a while now to provide us with the Proper Knowledge and Understanding of just How Much VTT & GTL Reference Voltages Affect and Determine you're Overclock and Stability in doing so!

    Great write up John

For Now run it at defaults except for Ram voltage and Primary timings don't go messing with anything else until you see if its a problem with the Board or you personally Mr. N00bStorm

You enter Bios by Pressing Delete at Post Not holding down the Home Key first Off! Holding down the Home Key set Bios Back to Defaults!

Go to Genie Bios and look in Voltage section. BTW do you have a Clue as to what you have Hardware wise and what the Ram is rated at timing and Voltage wise?

The memory I have in right now is this:
    http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820146565

And this is the memory I would like to use which I have outside at the moment:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145043

Should I try and load both of the dominators inside? And change the voltage up to 2.2? I'm yet to find?

@ Mr N00bStorm....Click on that Link I posted above and read about GTL Ref Voltages and the Complexity of whats being said and thats exactly how advanced this Board is Perhaps a DELL is better suited!

And by the way I was holding the HOME key down and that's the only way I was able to get to the BIOS so far? Which key should I try this time? DELETE?

Look thanks for all your help is gladly appreciated and I know I'm very new to this things and I'm yet to learn... for now all I want is to get pass this C1 error and to load windows for the first time. Like I said I would like to use the Corsair memory and someone said that all I needed to do is incrase the voltage in the bios as they run on 2.1, I don't wanna mess with any timing or anything at all for now... Thanks!

The Dominators should boot at default settings. I have had no issues with the sets I have tried.

Campbell, thanks for the kind words regarding the article.

I always get a C1 error no matter which memory I try to place in I have totoal of 3 sets... a 667m 800 and the 1066 that I really want... the only way pass the C1 error so far that I found is when I hold down the HOME key and I power up the system and I can only get to the bios by doing so. Thanks!

Once in the BIOS have you tried saving it and rebooting? If that doesn't help raise the Northbridge and VTT voltages one notch and set memory voltage to 2.2, save and reboot.
