If you order from outside of Germany KMelektronik is recommended from me too. In case of warranty, they handle it pretty well.

The build is coming a long very nicely!
Its so clean bro. Job well done
Building this rig must be a lot of fun!

Thank you for taking the detailed pictures!
I cant wait to see the finished product!

Bummer on the PSU Hope they'll send you a new one asap!
I like how you picked out the one thats completely modular.
The Silverstone casing of your PSU blends wright in with the TJ07.

You just convinced me to go Bitspower all the way. They look shiney

I wonder what solution you're going to come up with for the s.panel..

    Pity about the PSU

I usually order from http://www.kmelektronik.de/ and they've been great to me.
Thanks mate. Well, Preiscompany was by far the cheapest, that's why i went with them. Shot them an email in english yesterday but haven't heard from them yet, maybe they can't read english and i have to translate the email in German. Nils...buddy, friend, bro...

    Thanks bro.

Don't know what you mean with s-panel but if you mean the midplate, that one's finished mate but i won't show it....yet.

The front panel isn't going to be the murdermod frontpanel but i've got it together in my head how i want it. (and am working on it, will tell you on msn mate)

My brain is running overtime and the more i ponder the more new ideas i'm coming up with.

Sorry i'm not going flat out but i'd rather show it when it's all put together you see.

    Major update!!

Impatience got the better of me so i decided to put parts together, just to see how it looks.

Haven't got any reply to my email about the PSU , i will put things together now and hope i can put the PSU in later without having to take it all apart again. (yeah right! )

I'm sure i'll end up taking it apart again but we'll see.

    Here goes:

Revealing the idea of the hacked up topgrill:

It's a little messy now but it will all be worked out in the end.

    Attention to detail

    Off course the topgrill

    And now the moneyshot

I had a fight with the optical drive but i managed to get it worked out, stealthed!

I mounted a small button in the backside for opening up, just in case.

Hope you all like it, the screws will off course be replaced with black ones.

    Wow, looks great.

Could you do me a favor and take a picture of the underside of the mid-plate to see how you fastened the mesh to the plate. I really like the meshed look there. Double-sided tape?

Also, it looks like you abandoned the idea of using the Lian Li optical drive cover. How did you stealth it? Double-sided tape to front of tray?

    Man that looks so awesome!!

I couldn't even tell there was an optical drive in there! I especially love your use of the mesh in the midplate.

Job well done, I can't wait to see it with your other parts inside!

    Very good looking build.

I love your idea with the mesh in the middle and the botton for the dvd drive.

Looking real good. These murderboxes are getting more popular by every second. For a good reason though.

I was afraid of this question coming.

Actually i didn't take pics from the underside as it doesn't look that great. I've thought about using double sided tape but sticking that to mesh would attrack way too much dust so i opted for hot glue.
Here you can see a little of it:

The dvd drive is quite a story in itself.

Basically, i removed the original front, sanded down the part that's on the drawer (don't know if that's the right word?). Then i took a black plastick bezel of an old pc, cut off the sides, drilled 2 holes in it (countersunk) and then drilled 2 holes in the "drawer" .
I screwed the plastic bezel onto the front of the drawer with 2 hammond box screws, took a bezel of the TJ-07, cut off the sides with the dremel and placed it over the plastic bezel.

Tight fit so no need for glue or double sided tape.

I hope you understand, i didn't take any pics during the process, i should have.

Thank you, it was all part of my masterplan.

The mesh was an idea i came up with when i mounted the midplate, i didn't like the look of the 3 large holes actually.

The topgrill is just big enough to cover up the holes when hacked into 2 pieces, really only just, one slip of the dremel should have screwed it up, fortunately i managed.

Thank you for the prompt response for both of my questions.

Actually, I think that is a very neat job you did with the hot glue and mesh.

Also, it sounded like quite the process for the optical drive cover. Nothing is easy with that. I wish they would make a bay cover like Lian Li.

No pro. Actually i wanted to mod one of those Lian Li drive covers but it seemed way to complicated, that's why i went with just a plain stealth look.

The front cover was a bit of a hassle as it protruded a little so i kept sanding it down till it fitted. That took the most time actually.

Thank you BA, i had taken a lot of pics but when i examined them i saw fingerprints and dust all over so did lots of cleaning and redid the pics.

Strange how dust and fingerprints look magnfied in pictures.

You know you were worried bout the hot glue, couldn't you just paint over it ? then it wouldn't be as noticable.

    Just a thought.

Yeah i could have done that but i'm not sure it that would have made it any better to be honest. It's pretty much out of sight so it does not bother me that much.

Today i've been busy building in some lights, i wanted the case to be lighted even and i did not want the light to stand out too much, i think i succeeded pretty well if i may so myself.

It a strip of white leds mounted in the top on a Zeus special assembly.

Just wondering how are the rads attached to the hammond boxes ? Have you used double sided tape ?

I don't understand why a lot of people ruin the paintjob with tape when there are holes in the side of the rad. I mount my rad in those holes with a couple of m3 screws and it works like a charm. Wont ruin the paintjob either.

I've thought about that too but the hammond boxes i used aren't wide enough to take up the screws.

I'm not too worried about the paintjob, if i'll ever use the rads in another setup i'll repaint them if needed.
