My "murder" TJ07 project.
Well, I met up with Charles from Muderbox.com and was introduced to a live unit. The detail and quality was incredible. He is a pretty interesting guy, very cool.
Well, I am making my own case from his samples and will detail the progress here. I should have some eye candy up by next weekend.
Cheers.

not that I'm being an ass or disrespectful, but i woulda waited till thurs or fri to post this. This is as bad as waiting paint dry for a week
or like telling a friend i have a funny story, and making him wait to hear it a few days later.
=), on the other hand, cant wait to see what you come up with

ok guys.. I'll throw some up earlier. Maybe Monday or Tuesday.
I wanted to put a proper work log together first, but I can start it here. Instead of red or blue, I am going with a black/copper look

Keep it clean and stylish, that's what made the MurderBox the MurderBox!
Good luck on the build!

I can do one better than MSPaint. Charles is going to give me a rendering of the front panel. It won't have the "murderbox' name on it, like his production cases, but he said he'll do something else for me in the way of illuminated lettering. I'll keep ya posted.
Edit: Here is the front panel I will have him fab up. I really like it a lot.

What I don't like are the CCFL lights. Try and use LEDs.

Thanks! Quite the opposite. He is intrigued with what I am doing. I know I am only following his lead for the designs, but I am hoping to come up with a couple of my own ideas to implement myself.
Adding a PA120.3, second GTX8800 card and a resevoir presents a whole new set of challenges when trying to come close to his vision for esthetic appeal.

Is this the stock black finish? http://members.shaw.ca/strue/mM_case_03.jpg
Or is it custom painted?

If you can maintain the looks of the murderbox and the quality water setup like robby did with his v2000 tri-loop project you are not going to have a "murderbox" but a killerbox

Thanks for all the comments.

Charles has both standard atx and reverse atx.. I love the reverse.. so that is what I am working from. That way my clear tops on my video cards can be seen through the mesh on the top of the case

ummmm i love the murder box and yours is coming along nicely, but shouldnt you get a motherboard that is actually good for such a project?. even if your not going with the intel chipsets you should at LEAST get a 780i, if only to be able to properly use/overclock that quadcore. just my advice, am looking forward to your progress

I love those blank mobo trays... makes me drool every time, it's the best detail in my opinion.
