I have tried it on multiple hdd's. Even if the file originates on my ssd raid array, when I extract it to the same array, it takes longer. The only other difference from my old system to my current system is that I had 6 gig of ram as compared with 4 gig on my Sandybridge set up. Would that be the difference? Has anybody else noticed this?
