It's been a while since I have been active in the forum, but still have an un-answered question. Eversince I switched over to the sandybridge platform from my X58 setup, my decompression time (or extraction times), have slowed down quite a bit. If say, I were to extract a 4.7 img file using my X58 setup, it would take just under a minute to complete. With my Sandybridge, it takes just under 2 mins which is a huge difference. I am still using the same hdd's from the old system. I tried changing the MMIO settings to 1024 which was posted early that it helps with that, but it made no difference. One thing I did find, was that if I extract a file to a hdd other than the one that the rar files were on, it would do it in less than 1 minute. All my drivers are updated, is there something I am missing? Everything else seems to be quicker than the old set up, but for some reason, extracting files is slower. Anyone have a solution? TIA
