The only other thing I can suggest is to try powering up without a CPU / memory in there see if that helps, it's helped me on ASUS board but probably different on these. I trust you've tried removing the battery too?
*edit - just found out that the USB3 model will not be available in Europe, and the UD5 is 'discontinued' - it had nothing to continue from did it?
