As i recall it disappears after you disable speed step.
Anything to be gained by it ?As for TM function, as long as you have the "Extreme overclock" set to disable, then you wont be getting into any thermal problems on a normal day to day use even if your son plays 24/7.
Will tryLooks like this is your sweet spot for 4.0. You may now try lowering your QPI/DRam voltage.![]()
next lower one (1.275) failed.I bet, you can still run this stable on a fair bit lower voltage,
i remembered to do that after fiddlin around in firefox for a while bit KB disappeared.....had to reboot. Plus I need son around to do the image shack thing.....what OC setting would you like screenied ?Temp scrennie while running either Linx/IBT/OCCT or Prime95 will be appreciated.
Well broke the cherry w/ HT disabled.....but was kinda nice to get in w/o doing that.....not that I can think of something he'll use which needs HT so will probably use the 3.7 setting for 24/365 and the HT disabled 4.3 Ghz one for extreme gaming or whatever.By the way, how did feel now that you have finally made it to the 4.xx OC guild?![]()
yes, what I have been doing so far is run Linx till I fail....then take that highest OC setting that didn't and run OCCT.....if that passes, run P95 for 8 hours.... and yes, you need to do at least 20-25 runs for either LinX or IBT at max memory and at least 12 hours for either OCCT and Prime 95 small FFT's and Blend to find out maximum heat output and memory stability.
Do you know of any source that better explains what the various "disabled' or modified (i.e. differential amplitude) settings do ?
