i7 processor is rated for 1066Mhz and 1333mhz DDR3 speeds.
Anything above that is NOT guaranteed, not even with memory that is rated DDR3-2000.
Anything above 1333mhz is acquired trough upping VTT and DRAM-voltages to a certain level. Each varying processor to processor.
problem: This means that NOT every processor is going to be able to run DDR3-2000 within "safe" voltages. But this is the overclockers trademark.
(BTW: Has anyone noticed that his 1.35VTT stuff is being so strictly followed, while we used to pump vCore and other "unsafe" volts trough our hardware like there was no tomorrow?)
