Waterblocks on i7 - Part 5

HES??? Are we going to get your i7 roundup with an unlapped CPU??? lol

Any update on the unlapped CPU? Or isn't that going to happen?

I haven't done any further testing yet. In whatever thread it was that the GTZ-on-lapped-CPU-problem came up, I asked about possibly adding spacers and retesting. Or maybe I asked per mail and someone else asked in the forums. Anyhow, Gabe said that this wouldn't make a difference so I didn't retest.
My rig is now set up for testing radiators and so for the time being, I can't do further CPU block tests. Once I gear it up for CPU block testing again, I might do a few runs on an unlapped CPU. I can't guarantee anything, though and I certainly won't retest all 20 blocks on an unlapped processor.

So which block would be best for an i7 920 and GTX 295 single loop with ddc 3.25 pump and monsta rad? Still the HK 3.0? Is the HK 3.0 LT basically the same as HK 3.0?

Yup, I'd still go with the HK 3.0. And yes, the LT version is the same. The LC version is the one with less cooling power, so to speak.

Think: LT = Light, LC = Low Cost.
