    PWM Fan Speeds

    I just bought a UD3P for my QX9750.

Does anyone know the details of how the BIOS controls the CPU's PWM fan?

(ie what's the correlation between CPU temp and % fan speed in the BIOS?)

    P.S.
I'm kind of disappointed that the only regulated fan is the CPU

Well finally got my UD3P back from RMA (wouldn't boot dual channel no matter what). Will be setting it up later today and see what I can get out of her.

Well so far so good. Booted right up at 500 fsb and now the testing begins. My p5q would not break 480 stable with all the tweaking in the world. It however did 560 like a rock on my 8500

I'm pleased with my first gigabyte MB purchase!

    @Coop,
Are you Prime stable at any of these seetings your posting or are these just for 32m Pi runs? Curious as I'm trying to get my E8500 tweaked. Thanks!

    Hi radaja, thanks.
i use DDR2 one for quite some time just like yourself. i thought DDR3 ram was not expensive anymore, the DDR3 board is just something new that i wanted to try, and as you know, they both are non expensive boards. i can't say i like the DDR3 one more than i like the DDR2's, in fact it took me a while to get used to using the DDR3 one. but now to me, it's easy to use, either one of them, so all i would say i guess is you must try it to really know the difference, but if you like things to be easy to you then stay with DDR2 board.

Would it help if everyone put the Batch # of their CPU in their signature? I think it would.

F9 bios now, seems to be good. F8 was the only one I didn't care for, unstable with same settings as on the others. 500fsb 24/7, 506fsb was the highest Ive been able to get stable, after that temps get to high.

That system is a beast; it's my second born son.

Here's some of the things he did with 8GBs...

    8x525 FSB

HD video encoding at 4.6GHZ (Ambients were around 28-29c that day)

    Take good care of him.

Post your bios template with your settings with 1 or 2 sticks of ram.

To Radaja, Panging & OC Nub : If you wanna know what's the DDR3 version really gat in terms of potential,

just have a look sometimes on my french thread, I'm hardly workin' on it for now

I think 600fsb is possible with dualie's...but the PC16000 is hard to go in the specs and I don't know if it comes because of me, the mobo or the D9s

How long did they have the board for?
I had just purchased the GB board and was testing on the table when it showed up. I tried 3 different sets of RAM, multiple bios and settings, and it would not boot in dual channel. RMA'd to newegg and had a board back in a couple of weeks round trip. This one worked out of the box.
