I own the EP45T-UT3P (DDR3 version) and i have a problem with stability at 500 FSB.
What i did was to first set al values manually on BIOS (left side) the adjust MCH ref(0.7v), CPU ref(0.76v) and voltages(CPU=1.2v-LLC Enabled,MCH=1.3).CPU is @3G (6x500)
The problem is that is stable with 2 gigs of ram but not stable with 4 ( i own a corsair kit 2x2 GB DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24 1.8v).
I will come back with a template later after i get home maybe u can get a better look and give me a tip...
    Where should i look??
    Thanx

    Crossfire 4870 512MB Performance

    I couldn't pass up picking 2 4870 512MBs at a good price.

Should I sell my UD3P and get a DFI DK X48-T2RSB plus or a LT X48-T2R? The prices are close.

How much performance will I be losing when I crossfire at 1680*1050 max AA and max FF?

    Thank you

I need to give more than 0.08 over the required voltage, my board's DDR3 Vdimm fluctates like hell... strange while the DR2 version is rock stable...

Eg with 1.65 Corsair 1600C8 I7 dimms I need to set 1.72 to get 1.65 in reality, with the OCZ 1.9 Dimms I need to set 2.04 to be stable at 1600mhz C7.

For 4gb I need 1.32-1.34Mch NB voltage at 500FSB-1600Mhz...I'm totally blocked at 580FSB Hyperpi Stable, I can boot higher (600FSB) but the rig is far from stable... same counts for my DDR2 board...

I keep MCH reference just a tad below 0.75, 0.7 is too low here

Static tRead Value [10] do you set that setting manually or is it still on AUTO ?

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I gave up with my P5Q-e and jumped onboard with a UD3P. Now I'm once again lost in the world of a new bios. I've never had a gigabyte before so this is a double whammy. Basically, I was prime stable on my P5Q-e at 470*9. I'm aiming higher than that now with my Q9650.

I've got Bios F7. Good choice or bad?

I've installed easytune but I'm not exactly sure how it works. When I load it up it shoes different values than those I've set in the BIOS. Why is that? Should it do that? EDIT- I've found a link explaining why easytune shows different values than the bios! Very helpful!

Now, what value(s) does one adjust when a particular core fails. On my P5Q-e I could adjust the reference for core 0/2 and for 1/3 seperately. What's the equivalent settings on the UD3P? My starting point has been Jor3Bler's template for 489*9. I am only running 2gb though, so perhaps I could reduce some of the MCH values?

Sorry for being such a noob but I really feel like one right now!

How about the MCH/DDR ref? u keep it on auto or set it manually like 50% of
    DDR voltage?

I think that most of my instability problems are caused by the fact that the NB is overheating. I can't keep my finger on it more than 2 sec even at 1.32v. I changed thermal paste but i think without active cooling it won't get anymore stable than this. Next week ill try to a vent aroudn there to see if it changes something.

Im on the new f8 and to be honest; I cant really tell a whole lotta difference.
The s3 is still broke and my results (overclocking) really are about the same.
But it is really easy to change the bios on these boards with a usb stick.
Only problem is that you have to re-do all your settings. Which I can now do with my eyes closed after trying many new bioses. There is no change log with a new bios so why it is "new" is a mystery. I really haven't found a bad one yet, except the f7 ( i think it was) that gave error messages with ET6. Other than that "I" really haven't noticed much difference since f4.

    ^thanks for the input +1
Now onto another question. Are you guys able to run your memory at 1T command rate?
I have mushkin redlines 2*2gb pc8000 and I've changed the command rate to 1T in bios but cpuz still shows as 2T.

No matter if it works or not in the BIOS - you never would be able to boot at 1T with 2x2GB DDR2 memory at this speed.

I'm currently trying for P95 Blend stable. I'm on BIOS F4 with a 1.0 revision board. I can get it stable for about 50 mins before 1 core will fail in the large FTT test. I can pass Small FTT though I'm pretty sure I just need to tweak the NB somehow. Here are my current settings, any idea on what I need to tweak? I can run 4GHz totally stable with 1.2500v vcore set in the BIOS (CPU-Z 1.248v under load).

I have the Mushkin Redline pc2 8000's also, had a hard time getting things stable with them so switched it out for gskills and went with the 5:6 devider. Haven't seen a clock skew in other guys templates set like yours. Your vcore looks great. I was able to do 4.0ghz on my 9550 at 700/700/0/0, any higher and needed 800/900/0/0. Never messed with the DRAM a/b reference or DRAM termination so not sure about those.

Hi Guys, I'm trying to get 3.6GHz stable and my 4th core failed Prime after 7:52hrs. I wasn't home to check then but when I stopped at 15:17hrs later, the other 3 cores were all fine. I'm going to lap my cpu in hopes of achieving lower temps. If you have any suggestions in the mean time that would help me get stable, it would greatly help. Thanks!

Set MCH Reference to ~0,840 when CPU Term is 1,20, then bring CPU Term back to what you want it.

It should not be that hard to get it stable at 3,6 with bus 400.

How were your temps running at those settings?

I can run stable orthos or prime until the FFT`s 768 or 896 around 1h of test. When within that zone the computer restart, but the curious is if i run just this FFT`s on custom test i pass without problem.

Any suggestion to get stability beyond that?

During LinX it maxed out at 69C and with P95 Blend at 55C.

    @xbiusx

Try to set CPU ref to ~0,760 and MCH Reference to ~0,700 when CPU Term is 1,20, then bring CPU Term back to what you want it.

That's only at idle, temps hit mid to low 50's during IBT and Prime but they skyrocket to 70ºc+ during LinX testing.

Edit: Yes I'm using bios F9b
