Yes, Vista X86 and X64 and OSX. I even reformatted Hard drive. I have ACHI enable on both settings in Intergrated Peripherals. Temps are good.

try changing the vdimm to 2.0V and the MCH/DRAM ref to 1.00V if more vdimm doesnt help u could try losening the timings 5-6-6-18 maybe, or try a little more MCH core and see if that helps, when i have four sticks in it takes me more vdimm and MCH core

Do more people have problems with the latest bios F7 for the EP45 UD3R?

Cause everytime when i flash to that version and load optimized defaults and after that customize settings in bios everything is fine, but whenever i turn off my pc and turn it on again (cold boot) it goes into a reboot loop 2 or 3 times and then it says checksum error and puts the original bios back (thank g(od)igabyte for dual bios).

    Any ideas?

I have UD3R with bios F7, and works well for me.
    No reboot problems, so far.

As Cyfer stated, no problems for me either....I just installed another 4GB of RAM last night in a Revision 1.0 UD3R MB with the F7 bios and an 8500 chip. I've tried most of bios versions out there and none have caused me any big issues (but some have worked better than others of course), but F7 seems to be pretty stable for my setup. I'm currently running at 4.16Ghz (8 x 520).

Does anyone else have a rebooting issue?

If I clock my system up really high, let's say 4.275 Ghz... If I reboot, it goes into some endless rebooting cycle, and resets the cmos (completely, not just the oc settings).

The ram doesn't seem to be an issue. In windows I pass testing. The problem is the system simply won't reboot or shutdown properly, never mind S3 working properly. Is it a lack of voltage somewhere?

Right now I'm at my power saving settings, default clocks + power saving bios options, and it reboots and S3's properly.

maybe that's working with 2 x 1gb sticks but not with my 2x 2gb ocz hpc reaper 1066 and e8400e0, using 445 cpu fsb and 1068 mhz on ram, my pc posts on the 333 latch 2.4b untill 1.26v mch which is not enough to be stable . When i go above 1.26v the computer just loops.
The memory controler on this board when using 2 x 2gb is just 2 buggy on the 333 latch using bios f8

Anyone got 580FSB prime stable on the UD3P ? (not talking about pi runs or cpu-z screenies) I'm currently on F4 bios but having a hard time to stabilise it in Memtest test 7. After a few passes it starts to give some errors...

Might be the limit of this board. Maybe a newer bios warrants higher clocks...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

This is my rock solid setup; primed, has encoded, and done a bunch of other stuff for about a week now almost always at 100% load. Not a single crash yet. I won't say fine tuning is done yet, as I frankly haven't found the time to adjust all settings to the lowest levels possible without compromising on stability; my obsession. Maybe this helps those struggling with 8GBs, I don't think this board has a single problem handling that.

I'll do some quick synthetic benches, hopefully later today.

I had to RMA my board because I couldnīt run bus 333, 400 or 450 and ram 2x1, 2x2 or 4x2 in dual channel at 1066 or 1080 no matter what, singel channel just fine or any 1:1 in dual channel.

They couldnīt fix it so I got a new board, rev 1.0.

Just about to set it up for some short test.

Not sure about the S3 bug, but after loading the 9b bios (from v.8)i was able to get 1:1 with patriot pc2-6400 (4-4-4-12) ram and q6600 at 400 FSB and mostly stock voltages--something i was unable to attain before despite a lot of effort and tweaks with timings and voltages.

Not sure what changed, but clearly 9b is shaping up to be a very good bios for those with a q6600 and ddr2-800 ram. One side note, following the bios update windows 2003 server is now reporting 3.5 GB of ram whereas pre-update it posted the full 4 GB. I'm pretty sure i didn't make any OS reconfigurations that would have caused the drop.

hmm seeing this , i've tested my board on deafult settings, and with cpu running @ fsb 333 and memory @1066 no problems, I only hope that a new bios will solve this board problem with 2 x 2gb ram and the 333 strap, and will allow better performance level on the 400 one (ofcourse for 2 x 2gb ) .

Thank you, I have done some test at those bus speed and ram speed that I had problem with and it seams okey with this board.

    I did a short LinX run with my E8400@450 4,50 2x1 ram@1080 555 15 tRD 9 Turbo, XP SP2 32bit and it worked just fine.

I did run a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (PWM control) in that test and I most say that I was impressed by its performance, have to see if it can hold of my E8400 with 4Gb or 8Gb, I doubt it, it had 75C with 2Gb, think I have to put my watercooling back on.

    Now I move on to 2x2, 4x2 and Windows 7 64bit.

If you looked at my sig, I have 2x2gb Gskill PI PC28800's. Hoss, also had 2x2gb OCZ 1066 RAM and had the same exact issue. Using less then 1.34MCH fixed our problem, bios F7/F8 and F9B, revision 1.1 board. We also both have Q9650's, so if your dual core chip causes it to not be able to boot over 1.26MCh then I am not sure what you can do, sorry

    Any ideas?
Yup, on cold boot it happens to me sometimes when running at 538 x 8 on my e8400 & ud3r with F7 (and F6a). It's annoying. Only away around it is to boot at a lower FSB (500) and OC within the OS. Tried various ref voltages, cpu term, vvt, etc without any luck. Changed memory (2x2GB Mushkin Redline) as well. S3 doesn't work either since F4 (i think). Bah, it's no big deal - once I OC in windows, it's still rock stable at 4.3 GHz.
