Glad to see you joined the team finally. Did you end up getting a Gigabyte UD3p for your 9650? You should love it.

I was just coming to re-read for help on my 9550. I have my 9550 running at 4.25ghz but want to try for 4.5ghz. Just cant remember all the settings, LOL.

WOW, hey man! Long time no hear

I am hanging onto my MIIF board as well. I did buy another Q9650 though for this hopeful UD3R - sold off my i7 for 240 to a local guy - haha; and I am trying to squeeze the loop in my PC-60 case! got any shoe horns i can borrow!? lol ; going to use a 655 with a micro res v2 1/2 id and a MCR 220 QP

I did manage to get 480fsb with some help from over here but I think 500+fsb will be impossible cause of the geometry of design-specifics

Why did you sell your I7; Im thinking about buying another one or maybe another 9550 or 9650. working on a NAS/ Crunching machine. I try to stay off the forums lately because I get stuck buying uneccessary stuff from the hot deals section after researching around the forums. So my H20 might be on hold for a few months. Now I am thinking about swapping out my ati gpus for nvidia to help my FAH. This is exactly why I havent been around much lately, lol. too many opions and crazy thoughts in my head.

Good luck with this board. I am now currently running my9550 on this board at 4.25ghz which is 500*8.5. want to push for more. This is also with my OCZ Vendetta 2. Temps are a bit higher now that the board is in a case, but still not bad. I think loaded temps are around 45*c will have to verify. I need to add some better fans to the case. keep in touch

    Hi
Finaly last night i manage to set up my new rig:
    EP45-UD3P bios F9
    Intel QX 9770
    1x320GB WD
    2X1GB Team Xtreem DDR2 PC2-10400 1300MHz
    Sapphire radeon 4870X2
    Vista Ultimate x64
    Scythe Mugen 2
CoolerMaster Real Power M1000 PSU (1000W)

Boot at optimized defults vcore=1.1500 and mem at 1200MHz.
the only amazing thing for me was cpu temp=20-17-19-20 at idle.
run wprime 32 and 1024 everything fine and max temp 28c.

i'll revert with screenshots and every sugestion welcome.
i'm wondering if this board can support this current hungry cpu at high clocks.

Im really lost on this, i have very good CPU speed but crap graphics...

Its not drivers i tested newer and old ones and both VISTA 64SP1 and XP64 SP2 ----I have my doubts on the PSU but should do the work its a TT Toughpower 850W...

    Hello again ..

I've tried to put the graphic card in the lower port2 (x8), and run 3dmark06. There after, back in port1 (x16). I get the same result in both ports, it should run significantly faster in port1 (x16) but do not???...

Are there others who have this problem, and maybe a solution ...

sorry it took me so long to come back to you,i am looking for 24/7 use, something that is stable, i never put too many volts through my kits to be honest.
corsair kit was 2.1volts - think i sold them to early - but i am bit inexperienced
    crucial ballistix 2.0 volts
    crucial balistix led's 2.0 volts
ocz reapers 2.2 volts - they were unstable at 1100mhz to be honest

    got some more coming lol,
    cellshock pc2-6400c5
    adata pc2-8500
    both 2 gig kits
think i need to sell some

any help or advice would be great - might need ram cooling aswell

So I upgraded from my Maximus Formula x38 @ x48 to the UD3P. It seems I'm having a really sucky CPU which doesn't overclock too nice at all.

I'm at pretty decent air cooling and temperatures are all fine, even better than on the Max.

    CPU VID: 1.2250v

On the Max 4.0GHz (9x445) was achievable I think with either 1.4v or 1.45v.

The RAM pretty much maxed out around 1200MHz CL5 2.4v on the Max, same goes for this board.

    BIOS version: F8

This whole setup seems to boot with 5-7-7-18, don't ask me why >.<

Any recommendations? Setting the RAM higher to 2.66C for example (DDR2-1187) BSOD's.

EDIT: not even this 4GHz is stable >.<

Now I am thinking about swapping out my ati gpus for nvidia to help my FAH. This is exactly why I havent been around much lately, lol. too many opions and crazy thoughts in my head.

Good luck with this board. I am now currently running my9550 on this board at 4.25ghz which is 500*8.5. want to push for more. This is also with my OCZ Vendetta 2. Temps are a bit higher now that the board is in a case, but still not bad. I think loaded temps are around 45*c will have to verify. I need to add some better fans to the case. keep in touch
This forum is a little weird. I would of never gotten an email or notice stating you made a response

I do believe the MIIF board has been holding my first Q9650 back - I did boot into windows at 500fsb & 8mulit but pc would crash/freeze up 5 seconds into prime. I'm going to push for 4.5Ghz on the new board. The one thing to my surprise I do like about the MIIF board is the Ai Clock Twister which I'm wondering whats the equivalent on the Gigabyte board!?

I do know what you are talking about. I have and bought un-necessary parts for my loop. Dude, I have 4 blocks right now. The first EK i bought a while ago, I bought an EK light (is 1366 compatible) cause I am anticipating keeping the i7 on my high pressure loop (i could of just bought the 1366 mounting plate for 10$) and then, I bought another EK clear acrylic Supreme with a 1366 mounting plate used off the FS:FT forum - lol - not to mention I also picked up a GTZ Apogee for my low noise/pressure 655 & Micro res setup for my UD3R setup - but the good thing about the block purchases, is the resale on them is good so... lol

I am sorta relieved I sold off my i7 - I hear D0 will be coming out maybe the beginning of next quarter and maybe by then, the i7 mobo's will have all the bull worked out. I've heard so many horror stories as well as success stories on them, it just seems like a 50/50 chance. And none of the boards do I really like. How is yours goin?

Good to hear from you man, hope all is well, ttyl!
