My guess is internal NB latencies. If you choose the 1066 profile Im sure performance will be a bit slower but more stable OC.

You know overclocking has lost it's "fun" factor. With all these settings and voltages its so much more frustrating now. It was great when you had vcore, NB and SB voltages and none of this crap with GTL references to deal with.

I was telling a friend last night, I do love this new chip and board but it took alot of messing with to get it stable....I really missed the simplicity of overclocking my Q6600 on the P5B-deluxe and P5K-E that didn't have quite so many options you had to fool with. I can only imagine the end of easy overclocking is past and it's probably going to get more difficult.
