You hit the nail on the head! These dogs need a purpose and a job. Unfortunately it requires running three miles a day and hoping that UPS, USPS or FedEx will ring the doorbell, or the pizza guy!

Do you put any dog backpacks on them when you take them out? Have them carry a couple of water bottles for extra fatigue inducing workout. And it's nice to have some water for the run.

I will lob this one out there and duck:

Have you considered a parallel flow scheme with the two video cards. I know series is the "proper" way to go, but some have reported equivalent tempertures and it would make your exit tube routing of your top video card go away. Like this:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...1&postcount=78

If not, then you should invert your res and put a 90° on the GPU block to horizontal over.

Thanks to Shazza for the idea and JA for the link and implementation pic. I ordered an additional Res top which will make things much better. I also rotated the Di and just for grins I checked the VC PCIE sleeving to get an idea of what lies ahead for cable management. Needless to say, the sleeving was just one battle. I decided not to go with the 45 BP fitting on the EK block. I just didn't like the look. LMK what you think.

    Kind of scary....

I wish I had this much memory!

I am starting to like the blue more and more...so does my wife.

I should finish sleeving the 24 pin tomorrow but I am running out of sleeving!
    Nils, Charles I need more!

It's lovely looking, but I just can't help but think that tubing is going to pop loose off of those barbs

Thanks for the kind words! I can tell you this; once you get it on a fitting, you cannot pull it off. You have to cut it off which is why I have very little skin left on my thumb and two fingers!

I like it too, but is the GPU->CPU tube a hair too long?

Lookin good Rocky, I like the blue more and more when I see it. From a looks standpoint the 45 might be the ticket (did I just type that? ).

The only problem that I have with individually sleeved wire bundles is that they lose some of their beauty when they separate. But when they maintain their uniformity it looks very sharp. The question is how to achieve this, tie wraps, separate sleeving? A black banding system would look good, hold the wires in place without having an eyesore.

I think that this is going to require moar scotch to contemplate the possibilities.

Oh, and because of you I have my UFO torn apart behind me trying to tame the wiring nightmare that is my computer. It is a good thing that I already drink or this would definitely drive me to it.

Maybe you can twist the tubing on the GPU-Res path to not have it "arch up" so much. A gentle torsional twist before pushing onto the 2nd barb might make it lower profile.

Are going to add a fill port and hose over to the naked barb in your picture?

I think the blue looks good, and I like the fact that you have such a small amount of tubing for a CPU and 2xGPU loop.

I'm kinda still thinking the use of a 45 or two would make the CPU > GPU loop look a little less strained (not that it is, just the way it looks). It sure isn't going anywhere, and there are no kinks, so flow should be good.

It may be. There is about a 1/4" of slack as the VC's are not screwed into the backplate. And I thought I was anal Thanks!

I will take a pic for you of the 45 and see what you think. It may be the BP logo but it doesn't look clean to me. Thanks for the compliment!
I know exactly what to do about the wires...that is a later update. I can't give it all away just yet. I just wanted to make sure my idea would work. I tested it today on the other sleeve and it is the cat's pajamas as Skinniee would say. I am drinking scotch, please don't worry! I drink like Winston Churchill. I would quote him about his thoughts but I don't want to get in trouble!

The tubing leading to the Res is on a 3/8" barb so that I can make adjustments. Once the tubing goes on the 1/2" barbs it is not coming off. Believe me, there is no such thing as a gentle twist! I have lost a great deal of skin getting the tubing on the 1/2" barbs. The tubing rests in boiling water for about 30-45 seconds and then you cuss your brains out and hope!
There will not be a fill port. Another trick in the bag to come later.

    Shazza,
Thanks! I am trying to use as little tubing as possible. I guess I like the strained look after my days of using many elbows in my Aqua days. I will post a pic of the EK with the 45 but I just don't like it.
Thanks to BA for the tubing choice. You would be hard pressed to kink this tubing. Now, back to the scotch and smokes, yes I know I am politically and socially incorrect! Oh well

Many thanks for all of the input, I appreciate it.

I think if you just shortened up the tubing between the cpu and gpu it would make a nice smooth curve and look fantastic. If you group up your pci-e power cables and keep them tight it'll look great. Maybe if you take a 6 pin and 8 pin from the midplate up to the bottom card and then run the other 6 and 8 pin behind the motherboard tray to the top card that could make it looks really clean. I know Charles did the Fried Chicken build like this and it really worked out great.

I can second the note about the secure tubing. After rebuilding my loop I had to cut the tubing off, I couldn't get it to come off otherwise.

I can see where having a 45 in there might detract from the otherwise very clean connections, but I dunno. We'll wait to see what the pic shows. And, it's your preference that counts!

BTW ... pretty hard to be politically and socially incorrect around here.

Oh, I hope I didn't offend, I was just trying to be constructive. I think it all looks quite beautiful, but I do have a habit of sitting and figuring out anything that could change to make it better....yes, I guess that's the definition of 'anal'.

Also I agree sometimes the BP logo on an otherwise shiny sexy fitting can be distracting. I would pay $0.50 more to get a fitting without it.

OK guys and gals I have to run to the store and pick up some anchovies for the Caesar salad! Here are the 45 BP pics as promised. You will have to use your imagination a bit. You know me.......scotch! The lighting is terrible but you get the idea.

Do not ask me to put the tubing on the fitting!
LMK what you think! Now I am off to get the anchovies

Dood, I don't know how you eat those things. I had them once (accidentally) on my pizza in Hong Kong and I just couldn't hardly stand it. And I've eaten some FOUL things in my life. Whoa, sorry to go off like that.

On a side note, I really like the BP 90 (those are 90's, Johnny Walker) there, but again don't like the logo. Are those 90's not very restrictive?

That is a 90 degree fitting, maybe a 45 would look less sharp of a transition. And I agree about the logo, ruins a well made fittings look.

I'll need to see the tubing on the fitting.

hehe, kidding aside - we need to see wide shots of the whole upper section. I tend to mock up the whole loop before committing - this way you get a sense of the overall visual balance.
