The following are some changes and my voltage setting.

These setting work up to a BCLK of 172 but using 173 causes the system to shutdown and then will not boot until I do a Reset/Power Off to reset the CMOS.

A BCLK of 172 will work with a lower vcore setting but I've gone up to 1.45v with 173. I was using a lower DRAM and VTT voltage for 172 and raised it to the above values for 173 but that didn't help. I'm just about ready to give up on this i7 920 and try something else. Any suggestions before I throw in the towel?
hmmm maybe i incorrected worded my bios template thread - it's NOT meant to be recommended settings to try, but a template for users to replace my values with your own values for sharing your settings on forums

what's your full bios settings - list them here

As to my mismatched testing some CAS7

6x1GB 7-7-7-18 1T

Seems this mismatched combo does pretty well tightening both main and subtimings managing up to DDR3-1718Mhz 7-7-7-18 1T at 1.875v bios. Needed a notch or two higher vdimm when subtimings were tightened otherwise I could of lowered vdimm by ~0.25-0.30v.
