Cool DFI LP UT X58-T3EH8 - First bench, bios screens etc

    Useful links:

Note: DFI UT X58-T3EH8 users updating to 01/14 beta NEED to read this important note especially if you use the ABS profile system application and incorrectly loaded older bios based version profiles on a newly updated bios based board and have laggy mouse and usb/floppy bios flashing experience > http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-ut-x58-t...eleased-13876/

i7 920 and Turbo Mode Enabled

With Turbo Mode enabled you'll have access to 21x multiplier. I tested 21x205 and 21x210 for Super Pi 1M, 8M, 32M and 3dmark06.

    i7 920 @4300Mhz

    21x 205Bclk = 4300Mhz at 1.45v bios (1.488v idle windows)
    DRAM Frequency set to 1333Mhz (1333Mhz/133Mhz = 10x mem multiplier) = DDR3-2050Mhz at 1.725v
Uncore Frequency set to 2666Mhz = 4096Mhz Uncore frequency

    • Super Pi 1M = 9.468s
    • Super Pi 8M = 1m 47.484s
    • Super Pi 32M = 8m 32.516s
    • 3Dmark06 = 27,087

    i7 920 @4410Mhz

    21x 210Bclk = 4410Mhz at 1.4875v bios (1.52v idle windows) for 32M and 1.525v bios (1.55v idle windows) for 3dmark06
    DRAM Frequency set to 1333Mhz (1333Mhz/133Mhz = 10x mem multiplier) = DDR3-2100Mhz at 1.875v
Uncore Frequency set to 2666Mhz = 4200Mhz Uncore frequency

    • Super Pi 1M = 9.234s
    • Super Pi 8M = 1m 44.734s
    • Super Pi 32M = 8m 19.344s
    • 3Dmark06 = 27,360

    Corsair DDR3-2133C9DF dual channel @DDR3-2200Mhz 1.965v

I'm surprised how easy it was to achieve a new personal best dual channel DDR3 max frequency of DDR3-2200Mhz at just 1.965v bios set vdimm

Seems with 16x memory multiplier, both Memset 4.0 Beta2 and CPU Tweaker tool can't report the right memory clock frequency. Had no problems with 14x memory multiplier.

    Vcore = 1.05v
    DRAM Voltage = 1.965v
    CPU VTT = 1.48v + 0.075v

George verify the superpi scores ( you list them trice as superpi 1mb ) I can beat that 8 min 1mb Pi score with a stock AMD CPU :p

Nice rams 2000mhz at 1.7volts, 2200mhz at 2 volts blimey... makes me crave for I7...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    High voltage benching time

My fastest sub 4Ghz 32M time @999.3Mhz 8-8-7-21 at 2.025v bios set vdimm

    Same vdimm 2.0.25v bios @1014Mhz 8-8-8-21

New PB for 8-8-8-21 frequency @1026Mhz at 2.07v bios set vdimm. Compared to 920 @4410Mhz with 2x1GB Samsung HCF0 based memory @1050Mhz 9-9-9-24 at 1.875v bios set vdimm.

Finally, max Everest benched @1038Mhz 8-8-8-21 at 2.085v

That's looking very nice, eva. Are the cpu temps shown, under load, or are they idle ?

Temps must be at load cause the NB temps show around 52C ... that can't be idle ... at least I hope not!

Really nice, can't wait to finally receive mine...
Is there a reason you put the mems in the green slots? Do they run better?

all x58 boards regardless of brand, for 3 stick tri channel need to be in dimm slot 2+4+6, they won't work in 1+3+5 by themselves for 6 stick tri all slots. For single channel or dual need dimm slot 2+4.

What the hell are you talking about? I have two GA-EX58 Extreme mobos and mems work in the white slots as well as in the blue ones

so the manual is wrong http://i4memory.com/f90/gigabyte-ex5...os-info-11500/ ?

    Gigabyte X58 Extreme

maybe they mean 1+3+5 is optimal but they work in 2+4+6 ?

there are quite a few postsfrom useres that made the mistake putting them into the blue solts (GA-EX58) and they didn't work for them. After puting them into the white slots it worked. So i don't think GB just wrote that for fun.

It's the way the IMC of Ci7 works.

Nice review George....I like your explain......this board can handle BCLK higher with low CPU VTT/QPI this may result for a moment...

    BCLK 200/1000

    BCLK 215/864

    BCLK 221/887

great mobo I'm gonna own 1 these days, but afraid of getting lost in bios settings

Can you tell me what clock can I achieve with i7 920 and Ultra120 2X120mm noctua?
    or 24X7 config?

What can I tell you, I didn't read the manual
I got different CSX ram kits here as well as 2 GA-EX58 Extreme, a 920 and a 940. First I put 6GB 1600 in the blue slots, worked. Then I tried with 12GB, was a hassle to get it to work at high BCLKs but now it works (mobo has a cold boot hole between 150 and 199 - lol). Gonna have to try some day which slots are better for 6/3GB.

By the way, my DFI arrived today as well, yeah
Now all I need is my 965 and the new evap head

    Anyway keep it going eva

eva2000,have you tried any other x58 boards? if so,how do they compare?just wondering, might just take the jump to I7 instead of the x48.
