Yeah but smallFFT only tells you if you got enough Vcore
Try largeFFT or blend to see whether that Bclk 200 setting is really stable

    Thanks.

Thanks for giving us a look at your new rig

It's nice to see pics followed up with actual tests and scores!!

None of the usual 5 pages and 1 single pi run

Portugal in fall and winter sounds great to me!!

Got to love cold days and nights.

You did a really nice job of presenting your system

    Thanks!

    yep

    Small FFTs >> Test CPU
    Large FFTs >>> Test Ram
Blend >> Tests CPU & Ram (system)

later i try Run with Blend or Small test !

Im also waiting for 6Gb Gskill 12800NQ , right now im only with 3Gb Corsair 12800 !

When i get the 6GB Gskill i will update the Tests !

    regards

Mascaras, i'm on to decide whether to buy memory @1300 or @1600 but i hardly find the info i am interested in.
So, if possible for you, i would much appreciate two screenshots of Everest memory benchmark; first one with cpu@4Ghz/ram@1300 and second one with cpu@4Ghz (no change)/ram@1600.
I 'll get same cpu and mobo as you and for ram i am between Corsair 3x2GB@1300 and Corsair Dominator 3x2GB@1600. The second one is overpriced so if there is not much gain (since imc makes the difference) i 'd prefer to keep some money in pocket .
Nevertheless, if you believe 1600 ram makes big impact in overclocking and/or system performance please mention in what way that happens.

    Thank you again!

    Hi

    with 200 BCLK (200x20 = 4Ghz) i think there is no memory Multi for 1300Mhz , i think the lower is 1200Mhz @ memory Multi x6

But the performance from 1333Mhz to 1600Mhz is Big (you dont need to test it)

My advice is at least a 1600Mhz DDR3 Tri-Channel Kit

If you prefer to keep some money in pocket you also have the G.skill 12800NQ DDR3 Kits (they are cheaper )

    here in portugal

    3x1Gb Corsair XMS3 1600 = 160€
    3x2GB Corsair 1600 = 300€

    3x1Gb Gskill 12800NQ = 120€
    3x2GB Gskill 12800NQ = 250€

Do you mind sharing what your water temps were when you were priming at 4g? cause i am trying to figure out wether my temps are to high or not. I am running 3.8G at 1.38Vcore with loadline callibration so during prime it stays at 1.38.
    920
    asus p6t
    chilled water at 16C constant
load temps after half hour priming 50-55 across four cores.
Using realtemp and asus pcprobe (same result 55C)

    thanks in advance.

Hi , Unfortantly i dont know what my water temps are !

but you have good temps (50º-55º) for the voltage used (1.38v) , however i think thats High voltage for 3.8Ghz ( try 1.28v)

Hey mascaras, I'm having trouble running the mems at 1600 because the SPD sets them at CL8, which I suspect is too tight for them. When I try to manually set CL9-9-9-24 the mobo won't post.. any ideas?

Yeah set them for each of the 3 channels.. EX58 Extreme, F3 bios, Compustocx (CSX) DDR3-1600 6GB Kit. Guess I need a new SPD for them, as they are still in testing (aren't really sold to people yet, I'm supposed to test them out but haven't gotten around to it yet )

Nope, it's a bios bug it seems.
Tried running 1600Mhz ram at stock BCLK and manual 9-9-9-24 settings, posted fine and passed memtest as well.
But if I try the same with 200 BCLK and 8x ram mult the mobo won't post. Oh well, needs new bios...

Thanx m8. Today i ll be receiving my stuff; got 3x2GB dominators hoping they worth the money. Also there was no Gigabyte available so i 've gone with P6T deluxe.

    Cheers.

The drop is a bit large, but it's the droop that matters imo, and it's minimal.

1.375v set in bios, 1.344 after drop, 1.324 after droop.

I am currently playing around with 12GB of CSX DDR3-1600, at a mult of 8 and BCLK 170 it works, BCLK 180 is no go so far.. but same problem with 6GB so I guess the bios needs some work, still on F3 here.
