lol sorry. We got here by his contesting my argument on the need for these new CPUs, since he said "you can only see 60fps on a monitor with 60Hz refresh rate anyway" which I wanted to correct.

JJ, while you're right the LCD's don't serially light pixel by pixel, you're forgetting that they serially read pixel by pixel, at the same speed that the refresh rate happens. So effectively it's displaying pixel by pixel leading to the tearing. There's no tearing in the front buffer, I promise you
