Have you enabled the clear CMOS button with the jumper?
By factory the CMOS button is disabled and you have to enable it with a jumper.

To be absolutely sure you cleared the CMOS, remove the battery for 15 minutes, reinstall it and try again.

I didn't realize it was disabled by default LOL. I will try that tonight. I also have a 1.8v DIMM to bring home from work to test in case my gskill memory is the culprit. I am also going to buy a PSU at Best BUy on th eway home to rule that out. That leaves processor and motherboard.

If this is my 4th defective motherboard in a row from gigabyte and asus I am going to scream. what the hell is wrong with these people... I just don't understand what is with all of these mobos and there endless reboot problems.
