how do you have your "Clock Gen Configuration" set up???

it might be wise to set 100ps for cpu skew and 200ps or 300ps for MCH skew control...and...cpu clock driving control at 900mv or 1000mv.

No, you had it right. It wasn't posting. All I'd get is an E9 (or maybe 63?). I followed the directions in those two other posts that were referenced(164 and 196), and I'm able to post and boot again.

I was benching 3D last night at 575fsb and my settings are close to what you're advising.

@mattkosem: If Ace's settings don't get you stable try mine:

    CPU SKEW 200ps
    MCH SKEW 100ps
    Driving Control 800mV

    PLL voltage 1.6
    NBV .350
    fsb .325

    Memory AUTO
PL 11 (you should be able to do 10 or 9 between 500-530 if you have good ram).

That's all I remember off the top of my head.

These setting are real picky so be prepared to spend some time trying to find out what works for you.

Are those safe 24/7 values? +.350 on the NB and +.325 on the VTT seems a bit high. On my 1.1VTT chip, that'd put me at 1.425 (which, IIRC, is .025 past the safe zone). Is the NB safe on that much voltage? Pardon my hesitance, I killed my P35 at 1.7v yesterday.

Those volts are on the fringe of being safe. Honestly you shouldn't need that much for where you are. Keep in mind that what I posted is at 575 x 8. I'd start out at .300 for both and see if that's enough to help.

Ok, I'll see what it takes. I was running 1.28 on the VTT with my old board for 3.76, and it (DFI Blood Iron) is not exactly a well-known quad-core clocker. TBQH, I've never even taken the VID on this processor past 1.34. Maybe I'll have an opportunity now that I'm under water again. Should .64 on the MCH GTL be okay for FSBs approaching 500?

I'd leave that at stock unless it won't get to windows. I actually had to decrease those the higher I went.

if you are going to push any voltage just make sure the PWM and NB have an excellent thermal paste to transfer the heat...normally, board makers use a thin grey or brown TIM material which does not do very well.

those kind of issues made me come up with IP35 Pro Heatpipe mod...i am thinking of removing the heatpipe coolers and SB cooler on this board to remove the TIM and then, apply AS Ceramique thermal paste...i like that paste since it is totally non-conductive..alternative paste to use is MX2, which is also non-conductive.

@Ace-a-Rue: Is it just paste on the I45 or are they cemented on like other board makers are doing these days?

Thanks for notice , tried all possible setting 200 ps and above , . Note the motherboard refuse to boot with PS over 700 .
cpu clock driving control was set to 700-800-900- and 100 mv but no help .
The motherboard can post up to 580 mhz but the most stable is 525 mhz or even a bit lower ,
the LCD screen show SP or C1 and hang usually there
Here is the most that i can get

Please help to archive 570 +stable , when i got this motherboard i was looking for 600x8.5 and yes my cpu can do it
    Waiting for more info

    current setting :
    CPu + 0.35 v
memory +0.3 v (lowring this value is possible)
Chipset +0.35 v (lowring this value is possible - with 0.2v there was no stability problem) . just left this setting to lazy to update it
    GTl xxx:0.63
    GTL xxx:0.67
    GTl MCH : auto
Cpu PLL v : 1.5 or 1.6 do no make any deference .

CPU SKEW 100ps-200 ps or ... 700ps even auto do not make any defernce
MCH SKEW 100ps-200 ps or ... 700ps even auto do not make any deference
Driving Control auto or any other do not make any deference

    PLS help

hmmmm..16gb is a hefty amount of memory...are you sure???...in the manual, it says maximum amount of memory is 8 GB.

EDIT:...i took another look at your image and by gosh you show 16gb of memory...how did you do that!

    something might jive for you.

unfortunately getting similar results from board to board is elusive...on my E8500 on Giga's X48T-DQ6 (DDR3), i got up to 535-540 fsb but it wasn't stable...i finally backed it down to 520 but still i had hang ups...not until 500 FSB did it work properly..now, on this biostar board, 520 is a good working fsb for the same E8500...go figure!

tried your setting i was able to boot windows with 560 but it was ultra unstable , and hunged in the memory test Everest . Now @ 550 Mhz it can do some bench but as u see in the screen shot memory test show error just after 6 % (512 mb) .

    i can get 600 easy.

try vtt or vfsb +0.325 to +0.4

also try vnb +0.6 and make sure you have a fan over it.

you are on the right track.

    try increasing tRAS = 24; tRFC = 68; "write to precharge delay" = 17; "w to r delay (same rank)" = 14.

see if those four help stabilize your memory test.

you are on the right track.

    try increasing tRAS = 24; tRFC = 68; "write to precharge delay" = 17; "w to r delay (same rank)" = 14.

see if those four help stabilize your memory test.
    thanks .
Here is my memory SPD just for reference the same memory was running with in P965 with 5-5-5-15- (tRFC = 32) up to 620 mhz Super pi 21 mb stable.

I will try and report , hold on .

Those setting result in no boot for the first too time then BOSD just after loading the windows look like the OCZ reaper 9200 heat relaxed timing

this is very COOL...a great exchange of information and ideas!

i have a low SPD for tRAS and tRFC, but it doesn't work according to plan

one other suggestion...set the memory timing, in the bios, that has three "3's" in a row in the bios...i am doing a test right now so i can not get to the bios to give you the correct nomenclature....it is about in the middle of the row from top to bottom...you need to change those to number "4"; all three of them, if you haven't done it already!

where is your performance level and what DDR2 Comp Reconfig?

i went from 470 FSB on my QX9650 to 475 FSB and it would not post correctly...finally, i had to set the PL=9 (was '7') and move my DDR2 Comp Reconfig to '3' (was 4).

changes in memory timings requires those other settings to be adjusted.
