Leeghoofd, I have a good question for you. I have been working hard to get my 3.4ghz(8x425) overclock very very rock stable. I need my system to be more stable then most people because I use very CPU intensive chess engines(basically huge number calculators) so I prefer my system to be 12 hour small FFT stable, 2 hour OCCT Ram test stable and then 18-24 hour prime95 blend stable. For my overclock I have got 1.406vcore/1.58PLL to last 9 hours small fft's before failing, I might get stable by bumping to 1.6PLL but instead I decided to try 1.4125vcore/1.54PLL which is currently running for about 3hours. My question is that if both settings pass 12hours (1.406/1.6 and 1.4125/1.54), which of these would cause the least amount of CPU degradation over a period of 12 months? Does increasing the PLL affect how much wear and tear you are putting on your CPU? Thanks, hope that is not to hard to answer
