If your CPU overheats it will shutdown your PC immediately, even with this function disabled.
I know this from my own experience.
Intel CPU's are almost impossible to kill with excessive temperature.
Ok, thanks. I have just booted into windows at 3.6ghz 1.45vcore...about to load up prime95 to see if it is stable under small fft's.

Edit: Damn within seconds under load it blue screened windows....trying tweaking the CPU PLL to 1.56, if that crashes I am bumping up to 1.46vcore

Edit#2: Fking aye, fails at 1.46 within seconds, trying CPU PLL 1.6 and vcore 1.46875...and guess what..blue screen!@! Fk, this sucks...I have a Q6700 and can not even hit 3.6ghz...man this blows at 1.46 before it blue screened the temps were getting over 65C so there is no way I am bumping the vcore up again...I want to try for 3.4ghz I guess....Something near 1.4vcore I suppose but I have no idea what NB and FSB Term voltages I should use for 8x425, any Ideas?
