Please help!
Hi, guys I am having a ton of problems overclocking with the P5Q deluxe, here is my set-up
Q6700 G0 (VID 1.3250)
Asus P5Q-deluxe (Bios 0803 from ASUS website)
Gskill DDR2 1000 5-5-5-15 at 2.1v
Zalman 9700 heatsink/fan
NZXT Tempest Case
Zalman 750watt PSU
I have been trying to hit 3.4ghz at under 1.4 CPU vcore and so far am unstable after about 20mins in prime95(large FFT test). I have tried 10x340, 9x378 and 8x425 with a FSB strap of 266 and auto. I have left all my other voltages on auto. I don't know what to put for..
NB Voltage
SB voltage
FSB Termination Voltage
FSB Strap to NB
CPU GTL voltage reference 0/2 and 1/3
CPU PLL Voltage
I know the above voltages will probably be determined by which FSB/Multi I use so lets just start with 10x340 unless a lower multi/higher FSB would be better. Some things I have set in the bios were....
PCIE Frequency- 100
AI Clock twister- Auto
AI Transaction Booster- Auto
Load Line- Enabled
CPU Spread Spectrum- Disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum- Disabled
C1E Support- Disabled
Max CPU ID- Disabled
Intel Virtualization Tech- Disabled
CPU TM Function- Enabled
Execute Disable Bit- Enabled
Sorry for this being so long but at anything over 1.4vcore my temps get way to high(near 65C) partly because of the high summertime room temps. I have been asking for weeks on the ocforums and nobody there has been able to help me. I hope I can find good help here, Thanks!
