No it isn't
Amd has hypertransport 3.0 wich is much faster than the FSB on Intel. Also it doesn’t need to compete with memory traffic. The FSB on Intel is used for both I/O and memory. That has been enough until this year. Now when new games is scaling to more than one thread, video cards that can handle LOADS of I/O. The FSB on Intel can’t handle all that traffic (maybe if you OC using hydrogen).
The MHz isn’t that important, it is the speed between hardware that is important.
