    Thanks for the response, Charles!

Yes, we'll definitely have to email one another regarding a back plate for me, I do like that alot.

Makes sense about the difference in thickness. I love what you guys are capable of.

I absolutely love the new rendering of pure|murderbox. It really features the name and gives the case a whole new depth with that break in the middle. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for that thread.

I looked at your website today and noticed the pics of FriedChicken's Murderbox along with the other subtle changes. Great news. I'm excited for you that murderbox.com AND murdermod.com are both becoming a reality. You deserve it. I see only great things from the pair of you in the future.

P.S. I can't wait for my murderMod! Lol

Is there a particular question regarding sleeving SATA cables or do you need it explained step by step?

Sleeving SATA cables is much like the birds and the bees... the cable is the...uhh... well... ok, the sleeve is like a... umm...

As for the new backplate being a little too much, well, it may not be for everyone and until we have a working prototype made, it's still only virtual.
just the part about getting the shrink tubes thru...do i need to trim down the plugs?

again, AMAZING work! & +1 for you for answering every post

plus not only that but your next project looks set to outdo FC murderbox which I didn't think would be possible!!

    Great work charles!

I think there needs to be more people in the Murdermod factory to start churning out these cases.

I really like pure murderbox, reminds me Modern Style (tiffany style) but with actual design features like more pure curves.

    Holy %^#$%*@$%&^%&( !!!!!

Charles, that is absolutely the most insane build I have ever seen.

"Ordered Chaos" is a perfect descriptor for this build.

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

FC you are damn lucky man.

    Holy @$%^&*@^%#^%*( !!!!

EDIT: Charles, how flexible are you with the hardware? Lets say I decide to commission a custom murderbox, but I want a different mobo? Or different RAM? Or.....whatever.....

Are the hardware options on your website the only ones available or if someone commissions a build and ships you specific pieces is that kosher with you?

I have a few questions regarding this mod:

what tubing/water add-on has be used for the orange-colored tubing?? Is that UV-reactive stuff??

And what diameter does the sleeving-hardware have? The ones used for all the 6/8-pin videocard power? and what size do you need for the S-ATA-cables?

    thanks for your help!!

sheesh, I don't check this thread for 2 days and look what happens. That render is beyond description. I thought it was FC's case when I first saw it, and I was like 'damn, did that guy score or what!'. Still I think your business will do very well and you sir, have made me seriously look at TJ cases now (even though I have one mod under way and one active computer + 2 lappies and god knows what other misc parts laying around) and at the same time made the desire level high.

    fantastic.

Wow, thanks for the comments guys.

I'm really excited about pure|murderbox. In a nutshell, we'll start with a TJ07 and then add a 1/8" aluminum insert down the center that will finish flush with the sides of the case. The insert's grill will be cut on water jet and then bent to match the curves on the top and bottom of the case. The insert will be finished to match the TJ07 outer case. Behind the grill will be a sheet of copper that will be polished and clear coated. The concept is for simple, clean lines with emphasis on fit and finish. The copper should provide the contrast and give the case it's character. The whole process - warts and all, will be documented in the worklog.

The inside concept will be revealed in the worklog.

I use 1/2" heat shrink @ 3:1 and with the glue inside. You may have to trim off the outer edges of the plugs with a blade in order to get the sleeving over.

We'll see but I suspect it'll be a tad on the pricey side.

The concept was intended as a "one-off" but maybe it'll be easier that we think - although I highly doubt it. I imagine it'll take a few attempts to get the bends right - and the grill cutouts will have to be cut before bending. Perhaps after the 1st one is done it'll get easier.

Feel free to email me and we can discuss this further.

The Fanta murderbox uses Feser One Orange UV coolant. The hose is Tygon 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD and the ATX, 6/8-pin power and SATA cables all have 1/4" Techflex sleeving.

Guys, I'm really moved by your comments. I made wallpapers of the two renders for anyone who wants them as a token of thanks.

Charles I'm really looking forward to your next murderbox! I wonder how you're going to fit in the DVD drive as the front of the case is made out of one piece! Can't wait!
