I would go with a 1080p 24" Samsung if I were to pick any monitor... beautiful screen outside and in. For a rig:

    Q9450
    Someone else can recommend board
    ATi 4870
    4GB Crucial Ballistix
    Windows Server 2008 64bit
    Corsair HX1000 PSU

I would not get a Q9450, yes it is a quad and a good cpu, but it has a low fsb wall and most people have not taken it above 3.6ghz. If I were you I would get:

    E8500 3.16ghz (9.5X333)
    Asus P5Q dleuxe P45
    mushkin redlines
    nvidia GT260
    Enermax 1000w psu

Very good recommendations although I stand behind the Corsair HX1000 PSU.

whats the E stand for .? i know the Q is quad. QX is extreme. so is E extreme
also... Asus? why over things like Nvidia 790i? i mean I need a huge A** motherboard for what im trying to pack on it. Thanx for the tips though
but please do point out pros! I will gladly absorb them into my mind. :P
E8500 sounds nice though. gonna check into it some more.
for graphics nvidia GT260? why not 280?

260 is only like 5% difference in performance from 280 but the price is $250 less.

you might not like AMD, but wait for the reviews of the 4870 to come out, and see if you might wanna pick a pair up... Unless, of course, your budget allows 2xGTX280. your system will kill with these two.
For extreme cooling... I guess you can start looking into phase. Water is as far as I have gone, and it's great, but not extreme.
for cpu, i would go with a Q, not an E. Crysis does scale better with a quad-core. the E processors are dual cores, X=dual-extreme, Q=quad, QX=quad-extreme. again, i'd suggest a quad core, and the mobo will somewhat affect your overclock potential.
I haven't been looking into PSU's but with a pair of graphics cards, you'll want a higher-wattage one for sure... 800w-1kw to be safe
as for mobos... welllllllllllllllllllllllll kinda depends if you're gonna decide between nvidia or amd!

yea i do believe i am going to reasearch more into amd vs nvidia and such. as for the 4870 i will wait and see how it really does

    You know what...
Been thinking about it. Buy a semi-cheap setup and wait for the rest of your system come out.
So... go with whatever Quad-core you decide to buy (gonna keep this for next build)
a cheap mobo, and 4gb of cheap+quality DDR2 RAM (might keep RAM depending on future board, DDR3 probably)
one or two 8800gt's (i'd go with two, not gonna keep these though, may buy used if you want)
one or two 750gb hdds (prob gonna keep these as well)
A good psu - 800w-1kw again (gonna keep this)
some case... (keep this if you want)

    Now that's gonna cost:
    Q9550: 560, or Q9450: 335
    mobo: whatever, $150
    DDR2, 4gb: g.skill: 85
    9800GX2: 425
    2x750gb: 240
    1kwPSU: $130 (OCZ MIR!!)
    case: whatever...$100?
    for a total of: $1590 (that's with Q9550)
you're gonna upgrade your [mobo + DDR2 + 9800gx2 = $660) later, so $1030 will have gone into your new system, and you can use it right now without having to wait.

Monitors... i'm not really sure what to do here. Keyboard- whatever, $5-20. Speakers- whatever again, prices depend on what you want.

And with this $1590 system, you will be playing pretty bad ass games with some nice settings, but, mainly you'll play around with it, tweak it, and learn to love it. When parts come out that you want to upgrade, you'll have the base of your system already, so it shouldn't be that bad.
Oh wait... make sure you find out when the new processors are coming out lol... If you wanna go easy on the processor, you might wanna pick up a G0 Q6600 for ~$210 instead of a Q9550 for $560.

ok i am out lol, gl reading that!!!!!

So i like your idea moda. I think i might just do that!!!
When i said money was no real problem.. I didn't mean i had it right now. I meant that in the near future I'd have it!
But Im going to start picking stuff out for when i do recieve my money.
    on another note (to everyone)
    Monitors???
or should i keep my current one?

    dual it.
    $110 wow. you want 2.

at first, i had 2x8800gt in my post, but i erased it and made it a 9800GX2. If you want quite better performance, go with the 9800gx2, but 2x8800gt should definitely be suitable.

edit: now i remember... the main reason was that I didn't want you going sli. but if you want, cool, stick with 2x8800gt
